> 3 dayWe have folding doors and these are great for keeping a couple from popping open on their own. And to keep the other closets from getting opened easily by the short people of the house. We liked them so well on the trial doors, so we bought them several times over now to go on all the other folding doors.

> 3 dayThe piece that comes with the Bifold lock for thinner doors does not snap in place. It is to small (or I should say it is the same size as the base piece) therfore can not snap Because of the price, I gorrilla glued it to the outside of the piece and that worked. I tried using it with out the extra piece, but by wiggling the door continuously my cats were able to move the piece over and open the door. If it wouldnt have been for that one flaw this is a good product

> 3 dayThese fit perfectly on our closet folding doors. They slide right over the doors and also slide very easily into place and or out of the way of the hinge section when you need to gain access. No tools required, nothing to assemble, other than using the extension rod if you want or need it. Made from nice durable polycarbonate that feels like it will hold up. They also include a spacer that might be used on thinner doors. Does exactly what I need it to do.

Greater than one weekI bought this for my daughter who has two very busy toddlers. Shes using them to secure the bi-fold doors in front of her washer and dryer. Easy to use, sturdy, and the kids can no longer get into the closet and turn off the washer in the middle of the cycle. So far so good theyre doing the job we needed them to do.

> 3 dayMy 2yo doesn’t pinch his fingers in our closet doors anymore or get into things he shouldn’t. These are awesome - just make sure you get the right size for your door width.

> 3 dayFinding a lock for bi-fold doors is all but impossible. I found this and decided to give it a try. While this is not exactly a lock, it does the job of holding the doors closed. The installation is simple...just open the door a bit and drop it over the top of one of the doors. (There is no drilling or tools necessary.) To close the door, use the drop-down handle to slide it to the center. This will keep the doors from opening. When you want to pass through, just slide it over either door and the door can then operate as usual. We use it to keep a pet out of certain areas of the house. It is made of clear acrylic plastic and does not stand out. The only thing I found was there is only a handle on one side. So, to lock/unlock from the other side you must reach up and slide the actual lock back and forth. This is not really a problem, however it could be improved by putting a dropdown handle on both sides of the unit. They come two to a package so I just installed the second one with the handle on the other side. Mine slides easy and is not inconvenient.

> 3 dayI wish wed thought to search for these sooner!! Weve had a folding door to our basement since we moved to our current home, and it has been a constant battle with our cats to keep them from going down there. Weve had a heck of a time blocking the basement from our crawlspace, so the cats would constantly come back upstairs with crickets, spiderwebs, and they could hide there if they didnt feel like getting attention (made it rough taking them to the vet if they got sick). We had to have a stool planted in front of the door for several years to solve the issue. Now, we have a toddler who can MOVE the stool. Uh-oh. Enter this doodad. It is very simple but a perfect solution. No more blocking the way and making it a pain to go in and out -- this can very easily just slide over across the top of the door to allow us quick access from both sides. It is tight enough to prevent the door from opening widely enough that a cat could slip through. Only one side has the hanging attachment, which is something to be wary of. We have an immediate stair dropoff on one side, so thats where we put it, but I can still barely reach and use it on the side without modification (Im 53).

> 3 dayThis product is super easy and really effective! I honestly cant believe I didnt know these existed for so long. We moved into a house with several closets with this door type, and it was incredibly difficult to keep our toddler out of the closets. When I stumbled across this product, I was really excited. I received the item quickly, it took less than a minute to assemble and pop on the door. Its been well over a year since I purchased and installed these closet door locks and they show no sign of wear and tear. If you have these types of doors and need to keep little ones from getting in, this items is definitely worth it!

Greater than one weekIf there is any drawback, it might be the length of the plastic rod. My wife is barely 5 feet tall. She had a little difficulty reaching the rod. Someone shorter than her would have difficulty sliding the unit to the unlock position. A couple of additional inches would have been great. Other than that, it works great.

> 3 dayMy cat somehow learned to open our bifold door by first pushing right at the middle of the door, creating a small enough opening for him to squeeze through. Sometimes he would also push the middle of the bifold from the other side and literally locked himself out. We needed a solution where we can lock and unlock this bifold door from both side. This is a perfect solution. The design is easy enough to use and the material (plastic) looks to be strong enough. The only draw back would be that this lock will prevent those who are short (like kids under 12) from locking/unlocking the door.
