We have folding doors and these are great for keeping a couple from popping open on their own. And to keep the other closets from getting opened easily by the short people of the house. We liked them so well on the trial doors, so we bought them several times over now to go on all the other folding doors.

This is well designed although you may find difficulties related to how your doors are situated. My doors go to the ceiling so the wand was not nearly long enough. The solution to this is to take the product to your nearest hardware store (Lowes) and go to the dowel section. Test fit the 1/4 dowels of your desired length (for me that was 36). When you get home, cut a piece of duct tape 1/2 wide by 4. Put the dowel through the hole for the wand. Wrap the tape around the end of the dowel. This should serve you well. You may also find there isnt enough room at the top of your door for the product to slide or close properly. There isnt much you can do about that unless you can adjust your doors down vertically.

Clear plastic is not noticeable: definitely strong enough to deter cats from opening bi fold doors (dog doesnt try)

These fit perfectly on our closet folding doors. They slide right over the doors and also slide very easily into place and or out of the way of the hinge section when you need to gain access. No tools required, nothing to assemble, other than using the extension rod if you want or need it. Made from nice durable polycarbonate that feels like it will hold up. They also include a spacer that might be used on thinner doors. Does exactly what I need it to do.

We needed something to stop our cats from opening the closet doors in our basement. The device seems to work well. The plastic had a few scratches, however, we use the devices in our basement so nobody sees the devices. Overall, good product.
