Greater than one weekWorks well. I use it to keep a 10 month old from opening folding closet doors. Works fine. Easy to slide back and forth.

> 3 dayI wish wed thought to search for these sooner!! Weve had a folding door to our basement since we moved to our current home, and it has been a constant battle with our cats to keep them from going down there. Weve had a heck of a time blocking the basement from our crawlspace, so the cats would constantly come back upstairs with crickets, spiderwebs, and they could hide there if they didnt feel like getting attention (made it rough taking them to the vet if they got sick). We had to have a stool planted in front of the door for several years to solve the issue. Now, we have a toddler who can MOVE the stool. Uh-oh. Enter this doodad. It is very simple but a perfect solution. No more blocking the way and making it a pain to go in and out -- this can very easily just slide over across the top of the door to allow us quick access from both sides. It is tight enough to prevent the door from opening widely enough that a cat could slip through. Only one side has the hanging attachment, which is something to be wary of. We have an immediate stair dropoff on one side, so thats where we put it, but I can still barely reach and use it on the side without modification (Im 53).

> 3 dayClear plastic is not noticeable: definitely strong enough to deter cats from opening bi fold doors (dog doesnt try)

Greater than one weekI bought a set of these with low expectations to keep the cat from getting into the laundry room where he gets stuck behind the dryer. They fit and install easily with no tools and operation is great for day to day use. I have since ordered 3 more sets for the rest of the doors in the house.

> 3 dayThese are wonderful, and will keep my grandson from squishing his fingers in the doors. He loves to open and close doors and now I don’t have to worry about these. They are easy to use, and just slide out of the way when I don’t need them.

> 3 dayMy cat somehow learned to open our bifold door by first pushing right at the middle of the door, creating a small enough opening for him to squeeze through. Sometimes he would also push the middle of the bifold from the other side and literally locked himself out. We needed a solution where we can lock and unlock this bifold door from both side. This is a perfect solution. The design is easy enough to use and the material (plastic) looks to be strong enough. The only draw back would be that this lock will prevent those who are short (like kids under 12) from locking/unlocking the door.

> 3 dayThe little stick handle is optional, so if you’re tall you don’t need it. It keep the doors from opening more than a teeny tiny bit, so I don’t think there’s much of a pinch risk even

Greater than one weekI put these on our closet to keep our cat out and they work great. They just sit on top of each door and we slide them over when we want to open the closet. My husband was skeptical when I ordered them but he said they were a good idea once I put them on. Pleasantly surprised something so easy works so great.
