> 3 dayTurned my wifes super slow Acer Aspire laptop into a speed beast. Added another ram card to put the ram in duel channel verses single channel with the single card it came with. Formatted the replaced hdd to use as a storage drive using a hdd caddy bought here on amazon and it replaces the dvd drive. A whole new fast laptop with a ton of storage for under $100. Buy it.

> 3 dayThe drive is perfectly fine, but I worry about the warranty. This drive I received was packaged as a OEM Not for Retail Sale drive. Many OEM products do not receive end-user warranties from the manufacturer. The end-user is expected to go through the computer manufacturer who installed the drive. So if my drive fails, who do I go to on the warranty? Amazon? Performance Tech?
