It works as advertised! Very is to set up and mount for a mini mac M1 2020. fast enough for me. For someone doing lots of read-write for photos etc... might want something faster, bigger. With that said, it works great for me.

I bought two of these (SAMSUNG 870 QVO SATA III 2.5 SSD 8TB (MZ-77Q8T0B) for my PS4 pro and PS4 slim 8tb models and couldnt be happier. They were easy installations on both machines. They significantly reduced load times versus the standard hdd is pretty amazing. Especially for open world games. On top of that, it solves my storage solution for all my digital gaming needs without using an external hdd. The only downside is the price but thats what you expect for newer technology. Highly recommended if you can swing the cash.

Install was seamless and there was an instant difference in speed compared to my old internal HDD. For comparison, it took me about 20 minutes to load Star Citizen from the click of the launcher icon to getting into the city I last exited the game from. It takes under 3 minutes tops to get to the city with this new SSD. I install at insane rates now as well. Downloading discord and installing it again only took me about a minute and some change. Super proud of this purchase!

Have upgraded the Hard Drives in my home desktop and laptop computers with this Solid State HDD. Great product at a reasonable price. No issues. Fast as lightning.

Great addition to my pc!

Dad wanted to upgrade from a 128gb SSD to this better 1tb Samsung 870 SSD. Box was all sealed up, so a nice and new SSD in the box. Was easy to hook up, replaced the 128gb SSD, used the windows 7 backup image file, booted to the Recovery backup disc. Installed from the HDD image on that USB drive, BOOM, done, booted right back into windows 7, but this time he had an extra 800gb of space left. This Samsung was faster than the older 128gb SSD, I am sure the old drive had NO buffer on it, thats how they get away with cheaper SSD Drives, NO Buffers. I have the 860 Samsung and they say this 870 has a larger buffer and about 15% faster over the 860. Speed check confirms this is a faster SSD than is older 128 SSD. My Dad says, games, programs and browser, work so much quicker opening and from page to page. So My Pops is real Happy.
