The Next Big Thing
> 24 hourFast. First time using an M.2 and its crazy. Never again will we have to wait 5 minutes for our PCs to boot. My PC goes from power button to Windows in max 15 seconds. Everything loads fast, files download fast, just trust the process and go with Samsung here. I went for the Evo because of its longevity (I have used Evo SD cards and they are still going strong) and I expect this one will last me the next several years, or at least until some cooler tech comes out and I decide to upgrade because Im a sucker for .01 second faster load speeds.

> 24 hourI upgraded my Crucial CT500 Sata SSD to this 970 EVO Plus M2 wishing to increase read/write dramatically. The result turned out not as expected. My motherboard is Asus Z97-A. My sequential reading rate only reached 830MB/s, much slower than advertised 3200MB/s. It didnt double the speed of my 5-year old Crucial CT500 Sata SSD. Disappointed. If you upgrade to this m2 SSD simply for the speed purpose, I would not recommend it. Stay with your Sata SSD.

> 24 hourI recently purchased a Lenovo P72 Laptop which had a 32GB RAM but a small hard drive. I don’t have lots of programs therefore I thought I’d be able to run my programs with a large external hard drive. I was wrong so consequently I contacted Lenovo and found I had a M.2 open connection and a SATA port, so I researched the internet and YouTube and I was happy to use the Amazon reviews which allowed me to feel confident in buying and installing the drive myself. There was an obstacle in removing Lenovo’s cheap brass screw which forced me to use two different screw extractors and use one of my own micro-sized screw to install the drive. The stripped screw was not a fault of the M.2 device as the SSD doesn’t come with a screw to secure to the laptop. It would be nice to have a few screws included. There was another small problem I overcame. The Samsung site provided downloadable drivers and migration software of CDrive data to the new drive. It’s important to download all software to a USB drive PLUS confirm that the Windows 10 Bios uses a USB drive to change the M.2 to the BOOT drive without loosing any things from the old C drive. In short without any real training or formal technical experience, I was successful in migrating the information. I suggest that you request a Windows 10 license number or verification that you have legal software since i did get an online request for verification probably since I altered my computer! This SSD is great. I’d highly recommend it.

> 24 hourWorked great on my Dell laptop though it can’t take full advantage of the drive. Didn’t have to do a single thing but boot up the Dell rescue thumb drive and reinstall Win10. I installed this and a 1TB QVO ssd. Love it!
