This is my second time ordering a 970 NVME SSD. I love the first one I bought but I needed a bit more storage on my main OS drive. Once I popped this in and fired on my PC I ran Samsungs Data migration software and within 15 minutes everything was migrated and good to go. I love how simple the setup is and I love how fast these drives are!

Wow. I upgraded from a 256 GB SSD drive because I was running out of room. Im not a computer tech and not savvy enough about computers to swap out the hard drives, so Amazon hooked me up with a tech for $89 who came to my place, cloned my old hard drive to this one, and swapped out the two drives. It was seemless and all in all, the process probably saved me over $1,000 if I was going to buy a new computer as I considered and many urged me to do. Glad I didnt.

Easy to install. Good instructions. Formatted cleanly. Runs very well in my Win 10 OS.

After two months of working fine, crashed upon reboot. Running Windows 10 Pro - tried all the recovery options, running chkdsk all failed with various error messages. After booting with a different drive, ran Samsung Magician which found defects that could not be repaired. Filled out RMA directly with Samsung, waiting to hear back. It should be covered but I spent a day trying to recover the OS. I was able to get data back off the drive but couldnt get it to boot despite trying every trick in the book for repairing OS.

This M.2 is so good I ordered another while the price was low. You need an M.2 slot on the motherboard to install this and I recommend getting an M.2 mounting kit. That being said its super easy to install just slide it in like you would a graphics card and then mount it on the other end with a single screw. You dont need any additional cables it hooks directly to the motherboard. Its great for gaming as games seem to load a lot faster and also installing the games especially from Steam is 100 times faster. Get it before the sale ends as this thing usually retails for $500.

This is my third drive in the collection. It’s just amazing performance wise. Nothing can beat it. I highly recommend this product :D
