I tried to use this lovely product as a 1TB EVO PLUS but in only self identified itself as a 500gb evo when i used th 4 professional disk management tools.

The pic is their version of used like new. My 6-month-old Evo has had 14 TB of data written to the SSD, when I contacted Amazon they gave me a very good discount on the SSD, but that should not have slipped by.

So fast it brings a tear to my eye.

My old hard drive was taking upwards of 10-15 minutes to load large games like Forza Horizon 5 and such, and after using the new Samsung SSD it takes just under 30 seconds! Its everything I wanted for faster load times and an added bonus of 500Gb of extra storage. I would absolutely recommend Samsung especially for the really handy Samsung magician software that tracks tests and benchmarks all your drives. (If you are curious I did screw in the drive in the photo it isnt left out like that)

Fast delivery, good price. This is the 3rd Samsung NVMe device I have purchased in the last five years. they have worked very well.

Be aware: Even if your 970 is 2TB, it may show up as a 500GB model in windows (e.g., device manager, even Samsungs own data migration software). This is not a scam, it is just an obnoxious oversight because some of the device’s IDs are “generic”. To validate that your SSD is genuine and is the correct capacity, you can always download “Samsung Magician” directly from their website.
