It just does not keep original timestamps when copying or synchronizing files, what turns it into a sort of encased gadget with a shipwrecked DEX. For heavy users, you must add a card reader and enjoy removing and returning the SD card from and to its slot each time you need to update or backup your work. For unsophisticated tasks, as transferring photos, you need a timestamp changer that brings EXIF data up. I was told that with the Oreo version this issue was solved, but it does not. Tablet plus book cover keyboard plus a good screen protector plus a 400 Gb SD card means close to one thousand dollars; too much indeed.

I dont know whats happening, the charge doesnt stay at all especially after coming down to 50% even with no usage. Probably faulty piece. Will give it one last try else returning.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 is an amazing tablet and I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a great working tablet that isnt a iPad! From my experience thus far, here is what Ive noticed:

I just got this tablet today and I like it a lot, however the charger is defective. I had to use a different one to charge the tablet. You would that theyd test everything before sending it out.

I wanted to get the Google Slate as I do like a stock Android experience with fast OS updates. However, after reading so many reviews on the software experience and how shoddily implemented Chrome OS was made on it, I looked at the iPad 12.9 and this tablet.

Great product for the money paid. Needs to have a better location and secure for placing the pen.

Frequently looses its internet connection and need to turn off wifi, then back on and reconnect

Ive spent a few days now with the Tab S4. As others have pointed out it is missing the ability to use a fingerprint to unlock. While I can understand the loss since there is no hardware button anymore I still think it is better for people to use a secure way to log into the tablet using a secret that can be forgotten if need be (someone tries to force you into your tablet).
