I have to say, this was a solid product. Good visuals, I like how the screen looks. It’s pretty clear. I think the price could be between $10-20 cheaper as it’s not amazing. It’s decent and an okay value for what you’re getting. I wish the contrast was a little stronger from darks and lights.

This Samsung monitor is 27 inches and it is very power full and it is basically for game. The best thing is in this monitor is 144 refresh rate ensure flawlessly smooth action in game and it has 1 MS refresh rate eliminate lag and motion blur which one blazing fast speed. It has a fluid, tear free gameplay experience at peak performance and it looks like borderless screen stretches from edge to edge. It has AMG freeSync premium, hight adjustable stand, swivel/tilt/Pivot and 3 sided borderless bezel monitor. Definitely I liked it and recommend to buy in Amazon and do enjoy.

This monitor was a big upgrade for me in terms of screen real estate, so Im trying not to be biased just in terms of wow, look how much space I have! Its amazing how big a difference there is going from a 24in to a 27in... on paper, it doesnt sound like a lot, but in practice... its a lot. That being said, I spend all day at screens for work, then play games after. I also wear eyeglasses and suffer chronic migraines. I was intrigued by the eye-saver setting on this monitor and the no-flicker promises, especially. Given the price range, I wasnt expecting anything revolutionary in terms of graphics performance while gaming... but I do want it to not hurt my eyes or give me a headache. Honestly, so far so good. I turned on the eye-saver setting right away. Someone not used to immediately setting a monitor to go easy on the eyes might be put off by the effect is has on color--it is a little washed out and has the effect of lowering the brightness level without actually dimming the output. Blues, especially, become a little hazier. Whites arent as bright. You get used to it very quickly. And while flickers generally arent detectable consciously, I have to say viewing has been a pretty pleasant experience. I can work even in a dimly lit space without discomfort. Ive attached some pictures with my drawing tablet as a control to show some of the different color presets for the monitor: eye-saver (described above), standard (out of the box), and FPS (which noticeably turns up the gamma). There are a couple of other settings too, as well as some more manual color settings that you can fiddle with. Which actually brings me to my only issue with this monitor--and thats the menu buttons. Its 2021, and Im hitting hard keys on the back of a screen like its still 2005. The keys are loud and kind of hard to press. My kingdom for a remote or software menu. Other things to know: Its not explicit in the product description, but this monitor is VESA mount compatible. I threw mine right up onto my desk mount. Its 100 x 100.

This monitor blows, terrible ghosting, screen looks blurry? The blacks are nice but its a VA panel so it should be expected. Also when I move my cursor on a all black screen the cursor turns black, Idk why. Definitely one of the worst monitors Ive purchased, just gonna have this one be the rarely used vertical second monitor LOL.

This Odyssey G3 from Samsung sits at the bottom of the Odyssey series, below the G5. While the G7 and G9 offer some really impressive refresh rates and resolutions, the G3 is just a basic Full HD 144Hz non-ultrawide without any kind of wide color or High Dynamic Range support. This is still a very capable display in a modern, sleek looking design. Bezels are super thin all the way around the edge of the screen, with a slightly thicker bottom chin. The Samsung name is on the front, the odyssey “O” is on the back of the monitor. I like the overall look, it has some gamer aesthetics, but it’s not so flashy that it would look out of place in a home office or at a typical workplace. Its unavailable on Amazon at the moment, but I believe it sells for around $270. The panel type is VA, and even for one of those, it has a high contrast ration at 4000:1. If you crank up the brightness, you will notice some backlight bleeding around the edges and some issues with black uniformity as a result. Except for that, this is a decent VA panel. Max brightness is rated at 250 nits, this is ok but not the brightest for a monitor in the price range. On the official product page, there is no info given about how much of the sRGB spectrum is covered, I would guess between 95-99% just from my time testing it out. For the port selection- you get 1xHDMI 2.0, 1x DisplayPort 1.2, 1x VGA, and 1x 3.5MM auxiliary out (headphone jack). There are 5 buttons on the back right side, four are for navigating the menu, and the other one is the power button. I didnt really like the way the menu is laid out, but I was able to do everything I needed to to get it up and running. There are dedicated modes for first person shooters and other presets, I never use these and find that they usually look worse than the normal or cinema mode. There are options for brightness, contrast, The overall build quality of this monitor is above average, everything looks solid and you can tell Samsung values attention to detail. You need a philips screwdriver to assemble the stand and thats not included in the box. Its just 3 screws for each of the feet on the base of the stand. The stand is quite nice and very sturdy, it offers a full range of motion, this is not common for affordable monitors like this one. Its height adjustable, it can tilt, swivel, and can rotate 90 degrees and can be used in a portrait mode orientation (like videos on TikTok). The housing is still gamer themed, but it is more subtle than the G7 and G9. From the front, it just looks like a normal and modern 16:9 monitor. There is a hole in base of the stand for cable management, its not the most elegant solution, but it is still better than a lot of monitors in the sub $300 range. This monitor features AMD Freesync Premium to prevent screen tearing. The response time is rated at 1ms. Watching videos on this screen is really enjoyable, I know videos aren’t the main focus for a high refresh display, but it’s nice to see that picture quality isn’t sacrificed in order to hit this sub $300 price point. I noticed on the Samsung support website, there seems to be no drivers available for this monitor (at least in early May ‘21 at the time of this review). That’s unfortunate, as it might allow it to work better with Windows. Most OEMs offer drivers for their more affordable monitors, maybe it’s because of how new this product is, but it’s still worth a mention. Apex Legends, Gears 5, and The Outer Worlds all looked great on this monitor at above 100FPS. My Windows 10 laptop instantly recognized this monitor as a 144Hz display when I connected over the included DisplayPort cable. The cable actually seemed decent, unlike some of the ones that other OEMs throw in for free with their monitors. I didnt notice any ghosting or major artifacts when playing at a high frame rate, other than the bleeding backlight/uniformity issue, this is a well performing display. Im not sure that Samsung should have made this part of the Odyssey Gx line of monitors. Its just not in the same league as its bigger brothers that are much more expensive and include a lot of features that are not present with this model. I think this is a solid deal though, especially when it goes on sale and the price falls below $250. I would definitely recommend it then, for someone who wants a high refresh rate display on a budget and doesnt want a TN type panel. Buying from a trusted and well known brand is always better than going with some company you’re unsure about. They will stand behind their products and honor their warranties, in my experience. Also, it makes no difference that this monitor supports DisplayPort 1.2 and not 1.4, because that is enough bandwidth for Full HD at 144Hz. It would only be an issue IF this monitor had a higher resolution, refresh rate, or color space that was then limited by the DisplayPort 1.2 version. It would have been pointless to include support for 1.4 on this display since the monitor cannot benefit from having it.

I like the stand but the monitor lags behind and is definitely not 1ms, also if you are using Nvidia graphics, not recommend because you can’t turn on freesync

Brightness was fine and build quality seemed ok but I hardly used it. The ghosting was terrible. Especially on darker screens the ghosting was incredibly bad.

I bought two monitors at a retail stores brand new due to a discount I had, couple months both monitors went bad, after troubleshooting I lowered the refresh rate to 60hz and works again. but 144hz wont show. it looks like it was dropped or physical damage. Wont recommend. feels I got robbed for two 60hz monitors
