Works well as security cam but initially had a problem getting the drive recognized. In order for it to be used for Tesla, there is some security/privacy setting which needs to be disabled which can be done by Samsung software specific for settings for this drive. That was a bit of a pain to figure out.

Really easy to scratch and need special usb 3.1 port to perform up to max transfer rate. Transfer rate almost same on regular usb 3 to HDD

Good for storage of pics and videos. Was able to free up space on my phone.

Works great in PS4, it increase the load speed

SSD is the only way to go. I use this as my backup for my laptop. My laptop also has a Samsung internal drive that I also purchased from Amazon. Because SSDs are much faster than hard drives, transfer of data is lightning fast. If you purchase this, you will join me in never using HDDs again.

200 per sec on my pc. if you want a longer cable without drastic slowdown, this one worked (another manufacturer cable did not) - try: AmazonBasics USB Type-C to USB-A Male 3.1 Gen2 Cable - 3 Feet
