> 3 dayThis is my second one. The first one is still being used almost daily, I just wanted a second one to have handy for usng other grits of sand paper. I HIGHLY recommend and endorse this product. Workers great on wood, metals, plastics, etc, anything thatd needs a steady hand and a smooth sanding finish.

Greater than one weekA very nice sanding block well sized to make efficient use of sandpaper. Easily cut the paper to size and only a very small end on each side is not exposed to actively sand. The paper is held by two metal clips on either end which extend and retract by a lever at either end. They seem to grip the paper very snuggly and have not let it pull out despite vigorous use. A small amount of padding is present on the bottom to even out pressure. The block is nicely shaped and very rigid, fits well in the hand. The colors the block is sold in I believe are for your own convenience to keep track in your shop. A really nice well made tool. For efficient use, I may 2-3 in different colors so I can have each grit quickly to hand. However, that does not mean that the paper cant be changed out rapidly. Flip two levers and the paper falls away.

Greater than one weekI purchased this with one main use in mind: to sand my thick bamboo cutting board which is used on a daily basis and acquires knife marks and stains over time. Just taking a peice of sandpaper and sanding it by hand is pretty tedious and its difficult to sand evenly. This sanding block makes it so much easier! I purchased some already cut to fit sandpaper strips by Appex that came in a variety of grits and just flamed them onto this block. It was easy to get it really taut with the clips on each end. Using this makes the sanding really and it makes the job go fast. This was the perfect tool for this job, and Im sure it will get lots of use on other projects in the future.

> 3 dayThe best sanding block ever . No paper wrinkles no fuss. Ive used probably 25 sanding blocks In my career. None of them come close to this . Even the FES tool had trouble tensioning the sandpaper correctly . This item nails it every time.

> 3 dayEven with all the power tools, I still use a hand sander for many jobs. This is finally one that works well and is sturdy. It is well worth the money.
