> 3 dayI hear this a lot, I would rather just make one with a block and some cork. I get it. These arent cheap. BUT; they are awesome! Easily better than any sanding block I have previously purchased or made. Anything that works well and reduces frustration and time is worth a thumbs up in my book any day. Quit being cheap, and get one!

Greater than one weekSure theyre expensive, sure theyre GREAT. I love these sanding blocks - very comfortable to use, easy and strong paper changes, very durable. Get different colors for different grits -makes it easy.

> 3 dayThis was a Christmas gift last year and this is the first time I had to use it on the chop of my workbench I built this year. A sanding block is something that almost doesn’t deserve a review I think but I really like this. It’s size is perfect for straightening out an edge which is what I used it for today. It fits perfectly in the hand and I think this may reduce fatigue ‘cause I used the heck out of it and my arm was tired but not my hand. I wasn’t sure how well the clamps would hold the paper, it just didn’t look that secure to me. Well rest assured, the paper is still on the block on both ends and not a tear to be found. Only thing wrong with it is that I need another two or three.

> 3 dayThis is without a doubt the best sanding block for normal sandpaper ever created. The clamp system is what makes it so. Always, on normal paper blocks the paper gets loose. On the preppin weapon this is immediately fixable and permanent. Overpriced? NO WAY. I own 8 of them and would never give them up. Once you know quality you dont go back.

> 3 dayEven with all the power tools, I still use a hand sander for many jobs. This is finally one that works well and is sturdy. It is well worth the money.

> 3 dayThere’s a time and a place for an orbital sander, but I hand sand when I can, and have always enjoyed it. Have used a variety of sanding blocks, and never gave them much thought. And then I got the Preppin’ Weapon. (This is an awesome name, btw.) I love it! I told my husband it is my favorite thing in my tool shop, and is my favorite amazon purchase EVER. The important details to me: 1) The weight. It’s substantial enough, with evenly distributed weight, that I don’t feel like I have to push it or muscle it, resulting in a much more even surface, with no unintentional deep marks. It glides. 2) Shape/size: I’m a somewhat taller than average woman, average weight, and this fits perfectly in my hands. And I think it is sized and shaped well enough to fit most hands. 3) It HOLDS the paper, with a perfect and simple clip on each end. No slipping! 4) It is already saving me sandpaper. Good sandpaper is a must, and this seemed a little pricey to me. But between saving paper and increasing the quality of my work, I’m ready to buy more so I can have several grits loaded!

> 3 dayWhen I bought this thing I wasnt expecting much, but I was quickly proved wrong. The quick paper holding mechanism alone is worth the price of admission, and it just gets better from there. The block is nice and large, fits in the hand wonderfully, and is just a great overall size. It fits the 3.66x9 sandpaper strips well, which I appreciate for the convenience, but you could just as easily cut apart full size sheets of sandpaper. The 3.66x9 sheets are actually oversized at first glance, but then I realized you could fold the edges over and use the corner to get into nooks and crannies. As I said, the lever action holding mechanism is fantastic. It means you can easily use one block for multiple grits. This makes it worth the price to me. And if you start with one, you may find yourself wanting to get a second or third just because of how nice they are. Overall, Im not only impressed with this sanding block, but also surprised by the fact that a sanding block managed to actually impress me.

> 3 dayA great hand sanding block. I have all five colors and keep five different grades of sandpaper on them. Each color always has the same grade so I can quickly find what I need. They are great.
