I like it a lot better than that rubber thing with one broken ear and nails sticking up. Its a good length too, and flat. Works good. Costs too much.

Really useful for veneering

I put off buying one of these for a long time and just glued sandpaper to various cut off blocks lying around my shop. This thing is invaluable and I am getting much better results with my sanding that I had been previously. Also, less fatigue. Just buy it. You wont regret it. I ended up buying a few in all different colors and dedicated each one a different grit, so I know at a glance what Im getting and dont waste time changing paper unnecessarily.

Because it is plainly better than other sanding blocks. Sandpaper changes are quick and painless. The edges are nearly non-marring. It is really comfortable in your hand. Whats not to love?

There’s a time and a place for an orbital sander, but I hand sand when I can, and have always enjoyed it. Have used a variety of sanding blocks, and never gave them much thought. And then I got the Preppin’ Weapon. (This is an awesome name, btw.) I love it! I told my husband it is my favorite thing in my tool shop, and is my favorite amazon purchase EVER. The important details to me: 1) The weight. It’s substantial enough, with evenly distributed weight, that I don’t feel like I have to push it or muscle it, resulting in a much more even surface, with no unintentional deep marks. It glides. 2) Shape/size: I’m a somewhat taller than average woman, average weight, and this fits perfectly in my hands. And I think it is sized and shaped well enough to fit most hands. 3) It HOLDS the paper, with a perfect and simple clip on each end. No slipping! 4) It is already saving me sandpaper. Good sandpaper is a must, and this seemed a little pricey to me. But between saving paper and increasing the quality of my work, I’m ready to buy more so I can have several grits loaded!

Supports the sand paper and great quality

I have a few of these in my shop. I keep a different grit of sandpaper on each of them, so I am always ready to take a project from a coarse finish to a fine finish without wasted time. Also, the variety of colors available make it easy to keep track of the grit.
