Seemed flimsier than usual for a sandisk drive.. had far less available data on it than it should.. Would not work properly,and the in use light did not come on.. xfinity internet flagged it for possible malware.. when I checked it had some unknown files already on it.. Some dating from 2016.. after comparing it to other sandisk drives the font of the writing was a little different.. I believe most likely it is a counterfeit.. I wouldnt take a chance on this particular one.. get something else.

I opted for a SanDisk drive because of name recognition. The drive failed and I began the tedious process of getting a warranty replacement on or before Oct 14. Its now Dec 7 and I just received the replacement today. In between those dates were multiple forms to fill out, phone calls with people in different countries, photos needing to be submitted, packaging my own USPS parcel and mailing it, and followup a month later when their records showed they hadnt received the broken drive when my tracking receipts showed that they did. I thought buying through Amazon was supposed to spare me this kind of turmoil - but not in this case. I will never buy SanDisk products again on Amazon or anywhere else. If I could charge my labor costs to SanDisk, they would get a whopping bill.

I first tried a SamDisk thinking that was this drive. It failed after a couple of months. This drive works great (I use as automatic backup drive) and its very sturdy, doesnt flop in the slot. Highly recommend.

So far it is holding on to all the ones and zeros I throw at it. Hasnt let any of them go. And it portable. 5 stars.

Great reliable storage in a small rugged package. I have bought several of these and love them.

It didnt have a light to show activity as my previous Sandisk Cruzer flash drives had. It works great though.
