> 24 hourIt arrived on November 16th and I returned it on November 16th. I used the USB connection to interface the drive with my new laptop. Notably, my brand new laptop could not recognize the 12T drive in my laptops device manager. I disconnected and reconnected it multiple times with no success. Called a friend of mine who works in the security division at Microsoft and he suggested that I return it. As such, I did! He has seen this many times with external hard drives. He advised a different device. So it may work for some folks, but not for me! Oh well!

> 24 hourI talked to a friend and he mentioned you should be buying a SanDisk and what we found out is G Dr. is a SanDisk. It’s a good drive they work very well they’re quick fast and they just do the job I have a lot of these hard drives from my music workstation and they’re all mostly thunderbolt two interface drives and one of them has a USB but it’s just a good good drive I’m not gonna get anything else because I really like these drives and that’s it!

> 24 hourNew Mac OS really works better with SSD. After zapping PRAM and resetting SMC, my MacBook Pro does mount G-Drive Pro partitions using Thunderbolt. Plenty of storage space for backing up files.

> 24 hourI have several variations of this drive. They have all worked flawlessly. All of my other drives have metal feet that let them stack with air circulation. These new ones (since G-Tech was bought out) are the same look but lack the feet and have plastic shells. A 7200 RPM drive puts out a LOT of heat so give them plenty of air circulation. I keep a fan on mine in warm weather.
