> 24 hourThese are beautiful door knobs that we added to our newly painted doors! We had one problem, they don’t come with a rounded strike plate; we had to buy them separately. Strangely, they do come with a rounded door plate but no rounded strike plate (attaches to door frame). Otherwise, they were easy to install. I do recommend this purchase with the one caveat.

> 24 hourInstalled on an exterior security door but it was too big and the plastic inserts no longer sat flush to the door. Clearly a security risk because someone could push on it and stick a hand through to unlock the door. So I tried to order another one that was smaller in diameter. In the process of removing this one and placing it on a closet door instead, I realized the knob will no longer click into place. Will be replacing it.

> 24 hourTHIS IS THE DUMBEST DOORKNOB EVER DESIGNED. THE DOOR KNOB TURNS AND OPENS THE DOOR FROM THE INSIDE EVEN WHEN YOU LOCK IT. WHEN THE DOOR KNOB IS LOCKED FROM THE OUTSIDE AND YOU TURN THE HANDLE FROM THE INSIDE IT UNLOCKS THE OUT SIDE. VERY DANGEROUS WHEN YOU HAVE SMALL CHILDREN. WE HAVE A SEPARATE LOCK IN WHICH YOU HAVE TO HAVE A KEY ON THE INSIDE AND THE OUTSIDE SO WE CAN CONTROL THE OPENING OF THE DOOR. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ARRANGEMENT TO ANYONE EVEN IF YOU DON’T HAVE SMALL CHILDREN. JUST THINK WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF YOU HAVE A POOL,

> 24 hourThese are great. The keyed version is meh. It uses a quarter turn style lock, which “automatically” unlocks when you open the locked door from the inside. Except that it has to be turned completely for the mechanism to work, which is considerably more turning than is needed to actuate the latch. Oh, and as far as I’m concerned, it’s backwards. The locked position is horizontal, whereas I’ve only ever encountered vertical locked positions before. These unnecessary complications lead to accidentally leaving doors unlocked, and to locking yourself out. Again, this is only the case with the matching keyed version of these. Keep it in mind if you intend to get matching exterior knobs.

> 24 hourCome on, Return Department. You can do better than this. I was shipped a clearly, already torn into box and my knob and parts were rolling around box and not seperated and bagged. I needed a knob now so I didnt return. Now that its on the door, its actually really nice. Screws are NOT hidden making for an easier and clear install and a sturdier feel. You should use a 90 degree Phillips screwdriver to get the final screws in as the knob is in the way making it hard to tighten and not strip the screw.

> 24 hourThese are really sturdy nice looking doorknobs. They have a modern appearance. As another reviewer has noted, the back of the strike plate is square and the cutout area of your doorknob may be round. I just used a chisel to square the rounded area and the strike plate fit right in. This wasnt a big problem, but might be if you dont own a chisel. I took one star off easy to install for this reason.

> 24 hourI dislike the button for locking. Every single one of our knobs locks on its own and if you lose the key it’s difficult to open. It’s not a regular turning lock. Not practical when you have small children. Cosmetically it’s beautiful

> 24 hourGreat look and I really love the feel of the knob. I ordered 4 that had been returned to the warehouse but were like new, in the original package. Unfortunately, one was not a Schlage, but it was easy to return. Im guessing it was a knock-off brand but you can see in the picture there is a huge quality difference (Schlage on left). Installation was very easy. Now that Ive seen them installed will be buying 12 more for the entire house.
