SCHLAGE F40 BWE 618 Bowery Knob Bed and Bath, Polished Nickel

I had new doors put into my house, and chose these to match with my exterior door handle and to match my doors. I couldnt be more pleased. These have a solid feel to them, and make the doors look great. These are easy to install. (Note on the faux handle that is only one sided for non latched doors - This took a little effort in determining how to remove the knob from the base so you can screw the base into the door. It wasnt hard, just not in the instructions).

Great product and looks amazing on my white doors. There is 1 flaw in the door jamb strike plate is squared off instead of rounded corners. i used a grinder and just rounded the edges off. You cannot tell it after its installed. Im not sure why they do this because the locking version for bedrooms comes with a rounded strike plate.

The instructions not as helpful as they could be. I had a really hard time screwing the knob on and after the fact I discovered that the knob was removable by using a screwdriver to press on a little notch on the side of it. This was not really indicated on the instruction pamphlet. Thats the reason for only 3 stars on install.

We made the decision to change all the hardware and paint all doors white in our home. These door knobs were so easy to install and look amazing. We needed a mixture of Hall/closet, dummy and Bath/Bed knobs we were able to find all three in the same style on Amazon. This simple change made a huge difference. We also found matte black door hinges to match.

THIS IS THE DUMBEST DOORKNOB EVER DESIGNED. THE DOOR KNOB TURNS AND OPENS THE DOOR FROM THE INSIDE EVEN WHEN YOU LOCK IT. WHEN THE DOOR KNOB IS LOCKED FROM THE OUTSIDE AND YOU TURN THE HANDLE FROM THE INSIDE IT UNLOCKS THE OUT SIDE. VERY DANGEROUS WHEN YOU HAVE SMALL CHILDREN. WE HAVE A SEPARATE LOCK IN WHICH YOU HAVE TO HAVE A KEY ON THE INSIDE AND THE OUTSIDE SO WE CAN CONTROL THE OPENING OF THE DOOR. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ARRANGEMENT TO ANYONE EVEN IF YOU DON’T HAVE SMALL CHILDREN. JUST THINK WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF YOU HAVE A POOL,

They are the same as in store, just packaged more earth friendly. I think they’re great!

I would give this a five stars product but the way the screws locate made it somewhat difficult to tighten it. Matte finish but a bit silky feel, so I really like it. Smooth opening and close. Easy to install, did not follow instructions because it is so confusing.

Great look, very easy to install- like 5 minutes tops

High quality lock in comparison to so many others. Can only recommend. Easy to install and seems durable. Worth the extra price.

The carpenter who installed these was complaining about them, but I never quite got the nature of his complaint. That said, as a result of that, I couldnt bring myself to give these a five star rating. However ,they look just fine to me and operate smoothly. I say, they because I purchased the door lock and a deadbolt at the same time, had them rekeyed to the same key. Schlage is a trusted name in the business.
