SCHLAGE F40 BWE 618 Bowery Knob Bed and Bath, Polished Nickel

Good quality, as you’d expect from Schlage. Installed in minutes. A little miffed that it seemed to be previously owned. It came in a Schlage box, but the knob was not in any kind of bag. The backset and two screws were loose bouncing around in the package. Greasy handprints on everything. Had to clean it with rubbing alcohol before installing and handling myself.

Very happy with my purchase! I saw this same exact door handle in person and felt it was good quality. I looked it up on Amazon and it was at least $10 cheaper than Lowes. Same exact product! Needless to say, I ordered several online and Im happy.

Was a little disappointed that the black plate on the inside part of the knob was loose, I took some glue to prevent it from spinning but I shouldn’t have to do that with something brand new. Overall the finish and style is very contemporary and clean.

Easy to install. Looks great on my front door with matching deadbolt. could be a little more thicker in my opinion though.

Easy to install even though we got the wrong installation instructions. Im replacing 8 door knobs, Im going to invest in a flexible screwdriver! 1st door done, looks good!

THIS IS THE DUMBEST DOORKNOB EVER DESIGNED. THE DOOR KNOB TURNS AND OPENS THE DOOR FROM THE INSIDE EVEN WHEN YOU LOCK IT. WHEN THE DOOR KNOB IS LOCKED FROM THE OUTSIDE AND YOU TURN THE HANDLE FROM THE INSIDE IT UNLOCKS THE OUT SIDE. VERY DANGEROUS WHEN YOU HAVE SMALL CHILDREN. WE HAVE A SEPARATE LOCK IN WHICH YOU HAVE TO HAVE A KEY ON THE INSIDE AND THE OUTSIDE SO WE CAN CONTROL THE OPENING OF THE DOOR. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ARRANGEMENT TO ANYONE EVEN IF YOU DON’T HAVE SMALL CHILDREN. JUST THINK WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF YOU HAVE A POOL,

Finally... a door knob that was easy to install, beautiful to look at, and great value for the price. I bought one as a tester to install... and since it was easy to install and it looked great... I’ll be buying one for every door in my house!

These are a nice upgrade from the more basic knobs they offer. I put them throughout my house and Im very happy with the matte black on a white door, Swiss coffee to be exact.

This is a nice looking bathroom door lock and I ordered 5 bathroom and 4 closet sets,, Its slightly larger than your average knob. Great quality, easy installation, maybe 15 minutes per lock set including removing the old one. I read previous reviews concerning how difficult this was to install, one stated an L shaped screwdriver had to be used. On the inside knob shaft there is a small spring loaded pin that you push with a small screwdriver. Push that pin in and remove the entire knob and the escutcheon plate, the 2 screws are now accessible. Its all in the instructions. The only issue I had was with a couple escutcheon plates not snapping on as tight as they should have. One is still loose. Oh, the privacy and closet sets now have 2 striker plates so they all match,

Love this door knob. It looks great, has a nice quality feel when you turn the knob and the finish is superb. However, it is a real pain to install. If you order these, get this: It is the only screwdriver I have found that fits in the tiny space so you can tighten the screws that hold the knob assembly on the door: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GNPRRVZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Even with this, it isnt easy! I have a couple other minor complaints: (1) Some sets came with an exchangeable square latch plate, others had only the one fitted rounded plate with no replacement plate to swap out. (2) The rounded plate is very difficult to remove. I watched countless videos on how to do this, but, alas, the only thing that worked was brut force, which bent the plate underneath so much I had to remove it and hammer it to flatten it. Anyway, I love look of these door knobs. Time will tell on how they hold up to constant use, but I am guessing they will be great.
