Purchased for 83 yr-old mother. She is having much difficulty opening the clasp. She has tried daily for a week and is still struggling with it sitting in her lap. I understand the safety need to have a secure clasp, but not this stiff. May need to explore helmets with velcro options.

Good, sturdy and protective helmet... the usual Schwinn high-quality we have all come to know! AND... real men DO wear purple - our-rough-and-tumble 9-year-old grandson declined the HOT FLAMING helmet picked this studly purple one instead, and he LOVES it!

I liked that I was able to order the Youth size, which fits me better than the adult size, even though I am 61 1/2 years old. My head is small in circumference, and adult helmets were always too big for me. And it was the exact color and pattern I wanted.
