Seachem Matrix Bio Media 250ml

This works amazing as a biomedia, probably the best. I do wish the rock chunks were smaller for my small sponge filters-- still very happy! They did take over 2 weeks to start up even though the tank and sponges were cycled for many months now, so just take that as a precaution.

This is the best Biological Filtration I have ever used. It cleared my 65 gallon tank very fast and an added bonus, you don’t have to replace it. I have used a few different brands ceramic filter media in the past and as is wore out it would leave a cloudy film on the water surface in the tank. I purchased three 250ml for my fluval FX4 canister filter and it’s working like a charm!

I have found this to be great bio media even if very over priced considering its just pumice. You never have to replace it so bite the bullet and just buy it. I dont understand however, why Ive read reviews that said someones tank water cleared up after using this? This provides biological filtration, not mechanical filtration and as such it detoxifies the ammonia and nitrite produced by fish waste and rotting food. Sponges, filter pads and filter floss are what produce clear water.

I love this product! It really works to eliminate ammonia, nitrates and nitrites! I have seen a remarkable improvement in my tanks water quality since implementing this product into my HOB filter!

I have a 5 gal. and two ten gallons the nitrites was were high in all but the 5 gallons since my guppy, platy and dalmation females are now all on their second set of fry other than the last fancy guppies I purchased, this is her first set staying in touch with Seachem customer support using Stability, Seachem Prime every 48 hrs. my last tank which I started with some polyester from my filter.the old gravel and Seachem Bio Media having the last 10 gal. tank one week my tank was very cloudy looked at it and wow its sparkling and all four fish tanks nitritite are zero&Sparkling Ive been in the hobby one year the best thing I could have ever learned was about the Seachem products from the fish club Im in. did you know the 250L bottle of Seachem Prime Lasted one year ,communicating with Seachem customer support, having products that I know are keeping my beautiful fry happy&healthy! Great addition when added to other media. Really helps keeps the aquarium clean.

Ive tried them all. Nothing compares. This is not your every day pumice. Well worth the price.
