> 24 hourI’d been advised to get a 2TB external hard drive to back up my entire Mac mini contents before purchasing and transferring my data to my new Mac mini. This 5TB HD is much more room than I’ll ever need, but the price was so reasonable, and this way, after loading everything onto my new computer, I can just leave this plugged into the Mac mini so it can continuously keep backing up the data every night. I also bought a case to transport it safely to the store and back just to be safe. I called the Seagate phone and a nice lady in Toronto guided me through setting it up and starting the backup procedure. Allow a lot of time; I had so much in my computer that it had to work overnight. But now I’m all set for the foreseeable future.

> 24 hourDue to the size of this device can back-up my entire computer and have the ability to store pictures and other files just in case there is a problem with my main computer. Piece of mind.

> 24 hourI love the simplicity of this device. Plug and play is the way to go, no extra power cords required.

> 24 hourThis 5T Backup Plus Portable is small and super quiet. I am currently using it on Windows Backup as the built in software for the Toolkit is defective and wont launch. I get an error when the toolkit is launching that there is Slow or no internet connection and I have no internet issues.

> 24 hourThis is awesome! It’s a common issue for me to have not enough space on my consoles so as I got a new system I didn’t want to feel limited in space. This is the biggest external hard drive I have. These aren’t readily available where I live so to get this is a real good thing. I’ve been downloading so much cool games and it’s still not even halfway full. That’s what I like. Thanks so much! Will buy from you all in the future!

> 24 hourThis is my 4th Seagate. I’ve only one issue with them before as far as losing files. This time it is a different issue. I noticed after awhile that my Mac book would say it was disconnected without ejecting first. Each time I checked, it was still plugged in and I could see it was connected on my Mac book. Then I it started happening more and more. Now I can barely get it to connect at all. Sometimes the cord entirely slips outside of the port. I have tried several cords and it is all the same. So I assume the port is too loose. It is only 2 months old at this point. I’ll be asking for a replacement.

> 24 hourSo, I bought this in 2019, not realizing why I really needed it. My intentions were to transfer EVERYthing over to it and set it aside as a ‘future’ project...until Dec 2020 when I was able to get an XBox Series X...I currently use the drive as storage for all those Game Pass Games without taking up space on the console itself. Wise investment and value for this hard drive.

> 24 hourIm currently doing a full format of this hard drive. I have the 5TB version. Ive always been a fan of Seagates portable hard drive, as Ive been using it mostly for my Xboxes (I have 3 xbox for different rooms, each with a 2TB Seagate drive). I decided to build my first ever PC in January 2020, and used this hard drive as my storage along with my m.2 ssd for my boot drive, and 1TB SATA SSD for Steam and Blizzard games. Everything was going great with this hard drive. I even used it to install most of my Xbox Game Pass games for Windows 10 as well as my content creation from photoshop to 4K videos. However, on October 2020, things got funky out of nowhere for some odd reason. Literally, I just finished filming and I was transferring a few 4K video files via my micro SD card to this drive. Ive never had issues in the past couple months, but the read and write speed was out of wack for some reason. I tried blaming my PC built since I overlocked the RAM via XMP-profile, and my hunch was that the voltage is possibly messing it up, so I resetted everything to default, but I came to find that it wasnt the cause since everything was going well even with XMP on or off except when transferring or moving files to and from this hard drive. Luckily, I have a backup 1TB SSD drive that I transferred all my majorly important files to (4K vids and photos), it was a pain staking 6 hours wait because of the continuous fluctution in transfer speed, dropping from 0kb/s to only getting up to 90mb/s. From there, I wiped out everything and am currently doing a full format in hopes that it will fix the issue. All in all, I think this is great for consoles, but not for PC or Mac.

> 24 hourThis is my second Seagate Backup Plus drive. First one is still in use after several years on an earlier computer. Ive never had any issues or problems with either.
