Sennheiser HD 598 Special Edition Over-Ear Headphones - Black (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

Great headphones, extremely comfortable and very good overall sound. Only issue is the lack of any noise reduction or cancellation. I had cheaper headphones that blocked noise much better.

Very good headphones, but it does lack the bass. May need an amplifier to boost it. Overall a good quality headphone.

Let me preface this by stating I love (or did love) Sennheiser products. Ive been using them in a professional audio capacity for close to 20 years. I brought this set in the Black Friday sales for what I thought was a steal. However after not a whole lot of use the left ear has gone slightly. Im used to the cables going on Sennheisers, Ive just come to accept that, but not the drivers. I presume this lack of quality is due to some of the units, including this one being manufactured in China. Its a real shame the company decided to do this. Or if they are going to do this, sell them under a different brand or label so we know were buying substandard equipment. Im afraid Ill be taking my business elsewhere next time around, its unfortunate I can no longer get a refund.

these headphones are really nice. Not sure it is the top-end device but my ears really love it :)

Great headphones, I had a similar pair to these for 4 years. and when they broke there was no question what kind I was picking up again. Open back means the ears dont get too hot during long sessions. Sound quality is great. No cons.

Great soundstage which makes it perfect for games like battlefield 4, overwatch, etc. I swapped out the pads for the HM5 hybrid pads which increased the soundstage a little and it felt like it added a little more bass.

Absolutely fantastic sound. I have these paired with fiio DAC to run through my computer and I think these are some of the best cans for the money. Massive soundstage, crisp highs and mids. These are certainly not a bass heavy headphone but the clarity is just fantastic. Highly recommend.
