> 3 dayI like to use headphones for hours at a time. These are not the ones for that... unless your okay with some TMJ. My jaw and ears became sore after a few long hours mixing songs. These are great for walking around town and bumping tunes. I love the sound of em and they do look cool. The stabilizing additional headpiece allows you to headband all you want. Sennheiser makes lots of great cans so I picked up another more comfortable model for mixing.

> 3 dayThese are perfect for all types of music. I mostly listen to ska punk, rock, and metal and I am absolutely blown away by how much of my favorite tracks my pair of Beats earbuds was hiding from me. The bass is just right without being exaggerated and the treble is so spectacularly clear. I only have two complaints: opening the headband seems to damage/pinch the wires that lead to the actual headphones, and within a week I experienced some times when my music would stop because my phone registered the device as having been removed when it hadnt. The second is possibly due to wear and tear (I was rather unkind to the wire during my first few days of use), but the first is definitely a manufacturing issue. I worry that over time Ill need to replace this wire. Overall, definitely recommend.

> 3 dayThese were my first DJ headphones. They are virtually weightless and extremely flexible. I could wear them a couple of hours at a time and not be in agony. Even, clear sound - not the bassiest choice you can make for sound though. HOWEVER: They lasted about a year before the connection went to crap and the right cable began to short out. Now, they require me to wiggle, press and bend on the right side (red) connection point in order for both sides to work, and its not always stable, even or consistent. And of course, wouldnt you know it, this happened just out of warranty and Sennheiser didnt deem them worthy of repair. It really drove me nuts and I had to replace them. Since I was mad at Sennheiser I went with a different brand, at which time I learned that I really like a coiled, detachable cable with ONE connection point, and that I prefer over-ear cups to on-ear. Your mileage may vary on all of this - the fit, how you perceive the sound, whether they stay functional for you, but this was my experience with these entry-level cans and I wouldnt buy them again. If I didnt prefer over-ears to on-ears, Id make the investment in the HD25 plus model and skip these altogether though, because yeah, senni sound.

> 3 dayAnyone who works in a DJ booth, especially mobile, knows that headphone cords can get tangled or interfere with movement. While some dont care about this, others like myself prefer to use a spiral cord that contracts and expands to stay out of the way while giving flexibility. If a DJ is running multiple programs, lights, etc., or working a private event like a wedding, these are simply not good enough. I imagine they are great for listening and the lightweight is good for longer events, but for most DJs who dislike tripping on cords or getting hung up, this is a poorer option than wireless. I recommend these only if you dont mind getting tangled up in long fixed cords or want to look cool in your bedroom.

Greater than one weekbought these to replace MDR-v6s I was using for film sound monitoring, the upgrade was a long time coming. a little tight, adjusted with a CAREFUL couple minutes of setting across the knees and warming with a hairdryer, removing/checking and repeating the process. Didnt want to chance over-stretching and attempt to re-compress. sound is phenomenal, arrived in the mail, immediately used them as a personal stereo off of a blackberry priv running Blackplayer at full volume, bass boost and amplifier(4kmDB) Behemoth, Justice, Anilah, RATM, and Chopin. the HD25s struggled a bit with RATM and Justices heavier bass, but at listenable headphone (master)volume (amp and bass still maxed) there were no issues. Very nice, lightweight, and simple construction that lends itself to getting beat up and still working perfectly. only downside for me is a personal preferance, I CANNOT find an aftermarket or OEM cable that allows for a left side cable.

> 3 dayCups fit tight - even on my narrow female head (and I have small ears, too). Its good for the noise isolation. Its meant to be that way. Only the left ear cup swivels. I thought both would, so that was a small letdown since I didnt see mentioned anywhere. I didnt even get a bag or anything to hold the headphones. I knocked off a star because even all of my $100 casual/budget/gaming headphones that I bought over the years ALL came with a nylon bag at least. I guess they had to skimp out somewhere, he? Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT buy these for casual listening to keep on your head straight for several hours. They are not meant for that purpose. Your ears will choke, get sweaty and get fatigued.

> 3 dayTheres a good reason these have been a standard for DJs over the last 25+ years. Comfortable, light weight and sound great.

> 3 dayI’m really disappointed with these. I bought a pair about 10 years ago and the sound is way better. The reason I bought these was an issue with one of the wires on my old ones. The sound is really just ok not worth the price for me. Then top it off the left side is lower in sound. Really not happy here.
