> 3 dayThe gateway worked fine for a while. One day, I noticed it was powered off. I disconnected it, plugged it back in, and it came back on. A few days later, it was off again. I finally realized that the DC power plug was intermittent. Fortunately, you can also power the unit via USB. I found a USB power adapter that could provide 5V 2A, and a USB A to USB A cable (which youre not likely to have sitting around), and it worked fine. Today, I noticed it was dead again. When I plug in the power, the red light comes on for a second and then goes off, the device is not being seen by the app. Into the E-Waste pile. Ive had mine for about 3 years, but it seems like theres some sort of hardware issue going on with these.

> 3 dayRecently bought the Gateway. Simple to operate and install and does the job well! Regarding the Sensors, 3 years ago I purchased 6 SensorPush units to monitor the crawlspace in my new home. I placed each of the devices strategically around the crawlspace and started to monitor immediately. Initially, I also temporarily placed a couple of other devices to compare the SensorPush accuracy and found its temperature and moisture readings to be right on the button. All of the units were within a couple percentage points and degrees depending on where they are located which was expected. The app was easy to install with intuitive use. Readings recorded and reported continuously within 1 to 2 minutes. After my experience, my neighbor immediately bought 3 units for his crawlspace. I was surprised with the life of the batteries of 2 1/2 years before having to be changed. As mentioned by others, the customer service is exceptional with their quick follow-up and resolution. After my experience, without question, I would purchase again. Superior product, accurate readings and reasonable cost for it quality and use.

Greater than one weekThe product does what it supposed to do. I bought so I could monitor appliance temperatures when I’m out of town for extended periods (the bluetooth saves ~3 weeks of data, but I would gone for >1 month. I purchased mine April 1st, 2019. The last reading was May 5th, 2020 at 10:16am. About 13 months to failure. So now I get to buy another one. It’s so perfect you’d think the software bricks itself after 13 months.

Greater than one weekWorks ONLY in unobstructed area even with a gateway — Is this what you intended? I purchased this temperature gauge to monitor the temperature of an area in my Morton barn that houses my water filtration units. In preparation, I began checking the range of the unit only to discover temperatures would only record if unobstructed and within range of the WiFi. Believing I could gain a wider range and possibly obstruct the unit while still receiving temperature readings, I purchased the gateway....a mistake that now totals over $150! One other noteworthy piece of information is the battery drain the SensorPush puts on the iPhone. While I was testing the unit and app, I discovered my iPhone battery was drained above the norm for the day. I would not recommend the usage of any app that drains the battery of the iPhone to this extent. To the SensorPush credit, I placed the unit in the refrigerator and received temperature readings. Not the purpose of the purchase for this customer. I stand by my opinion that the unit has limited usage. If used indoors, the gateway is an unnecessary expense. I cannot speak to the accuracy of the temperature readings but I will speak to the ease of installation of the gateway — not intuitive. I had purchased and install the SensorPush WiFi Thermometer. After discovering the unit’s inability to read temperatures from obstruct areas, I purchased the gateway. In order to sync the two units, the SensorPush unit needed to be uninstalled, the gateway installed and the SensorPush re-installed.
