We have 5 large dogs that roam the entire house (including longer haired ones like German shepherds, labs and goldens) + a small animal room with bunnies, Guinea pigs, ferrets, etc. Needless to say, there’s a lot of dirt, hair and bedding everywhere when we go to clean daily. This thing works amazingly. It really picks up all the dirt, sand and dog hair with no issues. The container where it stores all the mess may seem small but it’s enough space to get my living room, hallways, second living room/office space, dining room and kitchen before emptying it. And I’ve never had an issue with it clogging due to pet hair. Only problem I have is the suction part is right in the middle, so if you’re just going over the floor quickly, it won’t get the corners or around round objects good. You’ll have to take it apart to be the smaller handheld portion to get those spaces. And it takes quite a long time to charge so I recommend leaving it plugged in every time you’re not using it. Other than that, it’s definitely worth buying it.

For context I have 5 cats, a dog, plus two to three humans in my home at any given time. This thing arrived in a box smaller than I expected. Oh no, is this a vacuum for ants? Took it out, assembled it, patiently waited for it to charge. Then my husband got ahold of it. Every time he walks past it, he vacuums another room. That alone is worth its weight in gold. It handles fur tumbleweeds, dirt, dust, flour mess from baking, crystal cat litter. Do you have to empty it a million times? Yes. But the low profile means you can vacuum under almost anything. No searching for power outlets or wrangling a cord. Its lightweight. Neither my husband or I have had the attention span to vacuum long enough to run out of battery so it lasts long enough for us. Im super pleased with it.

For quick cleanups on vinyl floors. Good suction but not as powerful on carpet.

The suction is ok but the battery only lasts for about 10 minutes before you need to charge it.

Hello: I have purchased Shark CH964AMZ 2-in-1 Cordless & Handheld Vacuum Ultracyclone System on July 12, 2022 on Amazon.com. I have hardly used it (not more than 4 times) and now notice that the battery on the cordless unit is not charging. Since the product is fairly new (less than 6 months old), I have called customer service at Shark to inform, discuss , troubleshoot the issue via LIVE VIDEO CALL and the final outcome of the is: a. According to the representative, the charger to the handled unit might be faulty and hence not charging the cordless vacuum. b. The charger needed to charge this handheld (COREDLESS) unit is considered as an ACCESSORY. c. According to the policy of SHARK WARRANTY, accessories are NOT COVERED under warranty. d. Only the main unit or the CORDLESS vacuum is covered under warranty. e. Since the issue is with the charger which is an ACCESSORY (per troubleshooting steps done via LIVE VIDEO by the representative), even though the UNIT is less than 6 months OLD and it would not have mattered even if the unit was a month OLD, I was told that the ACCESSORY (CHARGER) should be purchased. f. I find it difficult to understand how the system as a WHOLE which should technically include Handheld Vacuum, Charger and Stand does NOT have the same warranty coverage. This is because, a handheld unit is PRACTICALLY USELESS WITHOUT A CHARGER. And if the CHARGER STOPS WORKING, even though it is only 5 months old, how could even possibly prove that the HANDHELD UNIT IS FAULTY (SHOULD THAT EVER HAPPEN) without a CHARGER? I would like to note my personal experience so that people are aware before purchasing this product and what could potentially happen in the event the same issue surfaces. I would NOT recommend this product. I was offered to purchase the ACCESSORY (CHARGER) and I have denied to do so because I should not be paying for something that is so UNRELIABLE and stops working within 6 months or less.

I had a different Shark handheld vacuum that I used for cleaning up after my kids, but I killed it after a few years. I knew I shouldnt keep it plugged in all the time, but who can remember to unplug it as soon as its done charging? The suction was great and I loved it, but another thing was the charge would only last 10 minutes at the most. I got rid of that one and started searching for a replacement. I wanted one with powerful suction and with a lithium-ion battery, so I could charge it whenever I want and not have to worry about unplugging it right away. I was hoping to get one around $50, but came across this. It was $149... Way more than I wanted to spend. :( But I got this because it had everything I wanted, plus its a stick vacuum! Oh my gosh. Ive had this vacuum for 2 months now, and every time I use it, I tell my husband how much I love it! Its just that awesome! I use it as a stick vacuum most of the time to clean up after my kids. I can easily get all the food and crumbs they drop under the table and chairs, without moving the chairs! I also use it in the living room to clean up more crumbs from their snacks on the carpet and couch. I still need my upright vacuum (also a Shark) to deep clean the carpets, but this does a pretty amazing job too! I love how its so light-weight and cordless, so its perfect for quick cleaning when I dont want to get my big vacuum out. The charge lasts so long too! It has never died on me and I go all over the house with it! But after I bought mine, the price dropped to $119! :( Ugh! But Im still glad I bought it when I did, because with kids and pets, I really needed it! Update 11/30/2022: Ive had this vacuum for almost 6 moths now, and still love it!! It works great and I also use it to clean my mini van. It gets so much tiny dirt from the floorboards that I cant even see! My kids like to use it around the house too. :)

When I first got this cordless stick vac, I absolutely loved it. It’s light weight, maneuvers easily, and worked well on my wood and tile floors. I could easily reach under the couches and get the dog hair. The bin was conveniently located and easy to empty right into the wastebasket. It was easy to place the stand into the corner of a closet were it recharged. Battery life was never great, but usually adequate to get through most of my 1200 square foot house. I used it almost daily and the floors were always clean. HOWEVER, after about 3 months, I noticed that the suction had diminished significantly. It no longer picked up everything and battery was also reduced. By 6 months, it barely picked up dust bunnies. I would never repurchase this. I’m disappointed and am looking for a better quality vac that has staying power. It was pretty much a waster of money.

I’ve used this just once. And so far I love it. I’d give it a except how short the battery life is. Was probably 20 min or so and feel like an hour would be more reasonable. BUT it was long enough to vacuum my steps and most of the downstairs (about 850 sf). Did a great job and was pretty much what I expected otherwise. Love the different attachments and being able to use as handheld or for floors. Will update if anything changes as it gets more use.

I wanted something that would clean up chunky stuff on our exterior patios. This works very well with small leaves, etc. It has no rotating brush so hair is not a problem either. It may not be a good choice for carpet though. It is not a wet vac either. The filters are washable. You have to plug in charger cord separately... not built into stand.

Suction seems good. Not sure the battery last as stated but works pretty good on hard flooring. It doesnt cover a large area & is a bit noisy rolling across the floor.

The Shark Ultracyclone System is a 2-in-1 cordless vacuum that fuses two cyclonic air streams for powerful suction and long-lasting motor life. It includes a versatile floor nozzle for quick bare-floor cleanups, CleanTouch dirt ejector, lithium-ion battery, two deep-cleaning attachments, and convenient storage dock for cleaning on the go. Perfect for homes, cars, and dorm rooms.
