The bladder on this backpack makes your water taste awful like chemicals. If you plan on using the bladder, rinse it out a few times, soak it, and the next day remove the water, and hopefully it leaches out the chemical taste. The backpack itself is great, kept my water cold in the Arizona summer heat. Overall, satisfied with this purchase.

USEFULNESS: A couple weeks ago I went on a trip to Zion National Park, and I found that the 2.5 liter bladder held more than enough water to sustain my 59 135lb build, through multiple 5-7 hour hikes in the sunny Utah weather. By the end of each day I had roughly 1 liter of water left, already keeping well hydrated before hiking and using the pack. The proper weight distribution also really helped with my back troubles and made hiking with water so much more comfortable. Having hiked many times in the past with multiple water bottles or heavy canteens slung over my shoulder, Im not going back. DESIGN: I wouldnt necessarily call this backpack small, but it is very compact. In practice I found it had more than enough storage room in the insulated and middle pockets for a sandwich and other trail snacks, my DSLR camera with lens attached, a tightly-rolled windbreaker, baseball cap, beanie, wallet, and sunglasses (all of this in addition to a fully filled water bladder). For precaution, I kept all of my sharp tools in the front pocket to avoid puncturing the water bladder, such as knife/multi tool, as well as the rest of my survival essentials i.e. first aid kit, headlamp, compass, firestarter, etc. The front sternum strap has an emergency whistle molded into the buckle that I didnt notice at first, and it is definitely loud enough to get someones attention in an emergency. The shoulder straps are also ambidextrous so you can route the bladder hose through either strap you prefer, the hose clip can also be moved to either side. OVERALL: The design of this pack seemed like a great value for the price compared to many of the others I browsed on here. It has plenty of storage space with 3 zipper compartments and the side pockets are great for an extra water bottle or other incidental items. And, if it means anything at all, the Sharkmouth branding on the pack and bladder itself looks quite nice in my opinion, despite being lesser known I think this pack holds up well on the trail against well known brands like Camelbak.

Another friend used this backpack for the 2023 St. Martin carnival. She used it for water. It came in handy for everyone when we needed water.

Ive used the same hydration backpack for about the last 10 years and pretty much every time I used it I complained but hey I had it and it worked. Finally broke down and bought this to replace the old one. Im absolutely in love. My last bag had all these stupid straps and elastic cords hanging off of it to carry things but only ended up getting in the way. This bag is sleek, pockets are fairly large for a hydration backpack. The bladder area easily holds a 3l bladder and the material inside does a good job of keeping things insulated and cold. My one and only gripe is the bladder attachment points. I understand it was designed for the bladder that it comes with and I use a different type but velcro loops are never a good idea as far as Im concerned. Theyre a pain to use and begin to fray far too easily as you can see in the pictures. I use my backpack nearly every day for work and they are holding up well, I just have to be careful when detaching the bladder and not ripping more threads off. Overall though I highly suggest this backpack. I would without a doubt still buy it again.

I bought this Camelback knockoff because I needed one to replace a Camelback I had loaned out. This is a superior product at half the price. It seems the manufacturer thought through all the little details. It is light, and small, when the squish straps are in place. It easily expands to a large enough size to carry a jacket, and some food, along with a bike pump, patch kit and tool set. I highly recommend it for biking or for a day pack.

Purchased for day hikes on vacation. This was for my youngest daughter who loved the color. Hers had the most storage space of everyone. Room for plenty of snacks and emergency items. Also used as carry on for plane ride. Held all of her electronics and chargers and a sweatshirt bonus we filled it up in the airport for her to drink. Great purchase.

I like backpacks. I just love how functional they are. Ive bought a ton of them over the years. This has to be one of the best ones Ive ever had. It reminds me a bit of Swiss Gear which is my favorite backpack brand. It was challenging trying to find something small but still had a lot of storage. But I found it!

Nothing original. They just knock off the camel system. But it works well. Good seal on the bad. Insulated hose. Great cap and protector as well as bite valve. Works perfectly. I use it mountain biking, have had some. Crashes. And it still is working perfectly. Zero complaints. I would buy again if I break it.

Great little pack for day trips. Nice and expandable and can hold a good amount. We typically use it for snacks and extra clothes when we hike. Ive only used the water bladder once, but it worked great. No leaks. Pack is lightweight and comfortable. I wouldnt recommend it for an overnight trip, unless your an extremely light packer. I wont say its undoable, but it would be tight. Especially if youre some place cold and need to pack thick warm stuff. Weve used ours nearly every weekend since purchasing it and so far all the zippers work great, no rips or tears. Seems to be made of good sturdy material. I recommend it, especially for short day trips where you dont want to lug around a big pack!

This is my hiking buddy. I love the compact nature of it, but it still has space for very important hiking essentials: snacks! Plenty of space for my first aid kit, too. It is comfortable and the weight distribution when the bladder is full of water is great. The liner in the water pocket keeps water very cool after a prolonged time. Easy to use and really easy to clean! Highly recommended.
