Sigma 150-600mm 5-6.3 Contemporary DG OS HSM Lens for Canon

This is a fantastic lens, not just for the money. I rented this as well as the Tamron 150-600mm and the new Canon 100-400mm L IS II to shoot high school football with my Canon EOS 7D Mk II. Sure, the Canon is sharper (but not as long of reach), weather sealed and built like a TANK, but its over twice the cost! Quite frankly, youre going to be using this end towards or at the 600mm end where this lens has a definite advantage over the Tamron, which is too soft for my liking. The Tamron also had significant focus consistency issues (which many have complained about). Dont get me wrong, I love Tamron and own 3 of their lenses including their SUPERB 70-200mm f/2.8 VC USM which I absolutely love for Friday Night Lights. But in this case, this SIGMA wins hands down. Theres some good YouTube video comparison reviews that say the same. PLEASE, ignore the guys like our friend here who gave it a lower rating because its too heavy. Stop whining and hit the gym. Would you rather it was entirely made of plastic including the lens elements?? I loved his suggestion to buy a point and shoot super zoom camera. NOT. The only wish I had for this lens is that its entirely weather sealed like the Tamron, not just the mount. At $100 off to compete with Tamron, the value is even better.

A week use and review. Totally satisfied with this telephoto lens. Good build quality and image stabilization also.. upto 400mm picture quality was good after that slightly disappointed. But worth for dis cost. Planning for collaboration with USB dock.. let me review back after update.

Excellent lens for the price. No reason to pay such a high price for a 600mm lens.

Jai hésité pendant une bonne année avant dacheter ce Sigma 150-600. Au moment de passer enfin à lachat jai à nouveau hésité entre la version Sport et la version Contemporary. Jai finalement opté pour la Contemporary essentiellement pour une raison de poids. Mais la non tropicalisation ma quelque peu inquiétée lors du choix définitif.
