05-06-2025The drive arrived on time, the first things noticed are: Unusual USB 3.0 connector and Rugged antishock armor. Im really dissapointed about the drive speed, after search on the internet I found out its a 2TB 5400 rpm drive. thats a difference when transferring data. I tested the drive in 2 different computers with 3.0 USB ports and both data transfer test result was the same 28-30 Mb/s transfer rate as the top rate. On average was 18-20 Mb/s. Then make the same test with a WD My Passport 2TB (WDBY8L0020BBK-NESN) an the transfer rate was 60-61 Mb/s Test Scenario- Transfer 21.5 GB from the C:drive to the External Hard drive using a 3.0 USB port 1 laptop Lenovo T440 Core i5 4 GB RAM 500 GB internal HDD 1 laptop Dell Inspiron 14z 5423 Core i5 4 GB RAM 500 GB internal HDD Havent tested the antishock armor and dont think so to test it. Its looks and feel ok

> 3 dayI own two of these - one Ive had four years, the other about 3. One has had a light fall that wouldve scared me with any other drive, but this design with the padded corners leaves me worry free. I currently use the 2TB black and orange one pictured daily as a work drive between my desktop and laptop. I work on large After Effects files off it and it never feels like its slowing down my workflow.

> 3 dayI have several other of these same portable hard drives and think theyre terrific. They are very durable and seem to last a long time with no problems.

> 3 dayThis became my go-to backup device which is very reliable and portable! Ive bought this twice for 5 years, for it is found to be very reliable and as well as portable. The only downside is the connection speed. ( I hoped it to be at least a USB-C or a thunderbolt connection with this price range.)

> 3 dayBut other than that. It wont write. It wont mount. I will show this company the same loyalty they showed me by selling me useless crap and wasting my time. Worked for a few months. Now it lives in my drawer and every few months I attempt prayer and resurrection and its all the same. Zip.

Greater than one weekThis was exactly what we needed for our Playstation System. I had purchased an internal hard drive and I couldnt get it to load. This External hard drive is the answer to all of our problems with storage

Greater than one weekWe bought this drive to store our new business startup files on as our laptop HD was getting full. The day we received the drive we partitioned it, did a Time Machine backup on one partition and moved the IRS and other files for the upstart of our new business onto the other partition of the drive. (I would not have done this but my other HDs were full and I couldnt do a Time Machine backup on them. Wow, what a mistake that was. We cleaned up the Macs hard drive to make room for new work. Out of the blue an error the USB device was using too much energy showed up and we had no access to the drive anymore. We tried everything including plugging it into 3 other computers. Same error comes up. I contacted SP and I sent back the drive to see if they can recover my files. After 2 week, they were unsuccessful and sent back my dead drive plus a replacement. This drive failed within 4 hrs. Im now desperately trying to recover those files. I have another SP drive for 2 yr now and no issues with it.

> 3 dayThe unit is as rugged and compact as advertised. The USB 3.0 is very quick. We are using this to act as a second back up of documents and it is working flawlessly. I plugged it in and it came right up. The cord hooks into the case easily and is very convenient for carrying it off site. I was a little cautious because a low price can sometimes indicate low quality. .That is not the case here. I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend it without hesitation.

> 3 dayThis is one of the best purchases I have made. I bought this for my wife’s MacBook Air due to the paltry 128GB which this immediately alleviated that. What was a pleasant surprise is that I can also use this with my iPad Pro 2020. It took a good minute or two for the Files app to see it but it worked and is able to read and write files to it. The speeds are not very fast but I’m also not using high capacity files like 8k files but it is able to transfer 1080p and short 4K videos rather fast (maybe due to HEIC on iOS). For the price, I don’t care if I’m waiting an hour as many faster EHDs with far less storage are twice the price of this HD. I don’t remember having to format it to APFS (Mac/iOS) since the specs say this is NTFS but if you are using a Mac, use your Disk Utility and erase the disk to APFS so that it works for your Apple products. If you’re more well-rounded with your tech and also want to use it for PC use ExFAT for better interoperability. Excellent value for 2TBs BTW this is an HDD not SSD, I can hear it spin and whir when it is in use.

> 3 dayAs advertised. Connects via USB, if you can live with that.
