> 3 dayThis thing is solid. I reformatted it before use for my Mac and the transfer speeds are great. I’ve no complaints so far.

> 3 dayIt is slow as it fills up, and the device overheats if it is used a lot. For example, playing a game for an hour or two is enough for the drive to stop responding until it is unplugged and plugged back in. Its probably fine if used as a backup drive, but it is a lot slower than other SSDs.

> 3 dayI was skeptical at first with how poor some of the other reviews were. some claimed it to be as slow as any other HDD and as a gamer looking for fast loading screens I wasnt too sure. However I can assure you after playing both CS:GO and BF2042 all day on this device I saw no real difference between those games loading from my built in SSD and this SSD. Do note I am running it with the USB C to USB C on a Gen 2 USB C 3.2 port. Im not sure if that has an advantage over a Gen 2 USB A 3.2 port, I havent tried it. As of today 8/29/22 the SSD works great for gaming. If I run into any issues in the future Ill be sure to update my review and if you never see this review change its still in great working condition.

Greater than one weekSteer clear of this bargain. After formatting it for my Mac, which failed the first attempt, I ran a Disk Sped Test. The read results are OK, but this disk wont consistently write even 10MB/s despite the claimed speeds of 50x that number! On repeated tests the drive gets progressively slower, down to under 2 MB/s. It is completely useless for any photo or video editing, or even a simple backup of my hard drive. I should have spent the extra $30 to get the 1TB drive from Samsung or SanDisk.

> 3 dayEdit: After some time I have to change my opinion of this drive. It doesnt support TRIM over USB, and write performance absolutely tanks when copying a large amount of large files (what you would use a 1TB external drive for). Confirmed this is unique to this unit as my Samsung External both supports TRIM and has much better write speed. Found no workarounds to these issues so Ive stopped using this drive. What a shame. It arrived quickly and was packaged nicely. Minimal instructions, just a manual. Came pre-formatted in FAT32, which means you cant have files over 4GB so I will have to format it to ex-FAT or NTFS. Nice heft to it, weighty and glad to hear its military shock/drop test certified, as Im using it as an external and backup drive.
