> 3 dayI travelled offshore by helicopter for the last 8 years. I have had portable external hard drives get dropped by the people inspecting out luggage on several occasions. Twice I arrived offshore for a long rotation with a hard drive full of games and movies that was now broken. Keep your old mechanical hard drive at home by your main PC or by the television. I bought 2 different SSD external drives a little 256gig drive and this 1TB drive... its fast, durable and gets bumped around a lot. I just slip it in the side pocket of my laptop case and go. Because it has no moving parts unless you smash it open or somehow fry the electronics your data should stay safe. I have about 100 movies and 20 games from my steam library on this drive and everything runs perfectly!

> 3 dayUse it with my Xbox. Works great. Games load up fast only thing is it seems to always stay on even when the Xbox is a off. No issues with it so far.

Greater than one weekI used this External Hard Drive as my Time Machine. It quit after 18 months, at a time I needed it most, of course. Manufacturer was not helpful to recover the data...

> 3 day70MB/s 4K Q1 random writes, almost 3 times faster than my SanDisk 1TB Extreme PRO. Very impressive and great value.

> 3 dayWorks perfectly, good build quality. Very pleasing form factor and sturdiness. Included USB cables are high quality as well.

> 3 daySeemed like a decent drive. Light, relatively solid, pretty fast. I placed it in my ventilated rack where the drive never left or was bumped or damaged in any way. I loaded about 500 G of data on it and it became unrecognizable by my machine in less than 45 days. Tried multiple cables, different machines, and recovery software - but its like the drive just went poof. The hassel of moving that much data around from different sources again.... I dont even want to think about it right now. Just pick something else....

Greater than one weekIt is slow as it fills up, and the device overheats if it is used a lot. For example, playing a game for an hour or two is enough for the drive to stop responding until it is unplugged and plugged back in. Its probably fine if used as a backup drive, but it is a lot slower than other SSDs.

> 3 daySaps battery life from computer. With no moving parts, why is it killing my battery.

> 3 daySo I like this product. I bought 1 like a year ago and decided I wanted to by another one. Durable most likely but it does what it suppose to do. It does say 953GB but these never are accurate to what it advertise so really cant blame the company for false advertisement. The all say the same thing. But it works and nothing is wrong with these SSDs. I may buy more in future so I can have even more storage for my computer. I use my SSD for storing my games instead on my main SSD which is the internal. So to have the external SSD. Cant really go wrong.
