> 3 dayI was badly disappointed my this device. It plain does not work. On two different computers. Not sure why. It might be the device wont work when connected using a USB extension cable. My memory card readers and jump drives work just fine, so Im not sure whats wrong.

> 3 dayIve only had this 1 TB model for a week or so. I copied several folders ranging in size from 210 GB to 2 Gb to the SSD. Smaller copies were lightning fast as expected. Larger copies (200 Gb) started fast, first 5 GB in about 5 seconds showing estimated copy time of 10 minutes, but estimated copy time quickly climbed up to 2 hours as copy speed fell off to observed 0.01 GB/sec or slower. (Im working with a MacBook Pro, 2.9 GHz 6-core i9 processor, 32 GB ram, 2 TB SSD.) Final copy time for 200 GB was 1:40 hours. I repeated this test with similar results. Next I copied the same 200 GB folder to a 4 TB Seagate portable HDD - copy time was 21 minutes. (FWIW, the HDD copy required a USB-C to USB-A adapter, the SSD copy was direct connected using the 12 cable supplied with the SSD.) Im afraid this SSD will be returned.

> 3 dayI bought this to backup half on my laptop prior to servicing. It was much faster than I anticipated and hasn’t failed me once in the last four months despite the intercontinental travel and banging around in my bags. Might actually buy another come to think of it!

> 3 dayI bought this product in November of 2019, only came back becuase I am building my own Gaming PC and I plan to get a TLC internal SSD and I wanted to check what kind this one was. With that said this particular SDD I have had for 2 years. I have stored absolutely everything on it. I am a Content Creator and Full Time student so I have 7+ months of recorded streams, Games, 2 years worth of all my school work + other miscellaneous large files I use for video editing. This external SSD has held up great and I still have 178 GB left on it. It also doesnt get warm at all, even while gaming, I have it right next to the vent for my laptop which warms it up as well and it still runs flawlessly. In general Im not playing most things at high settings with an MX150 and an intel core i5 8250u to put things into perspective but Im confident that whatever I throw at it.. it will do fine. I have also dropped it about 3 - 5 times from desk height onto a wooden floor (bouncing off of things before it hit the ground) - even with that no data loss and it still runs great. 100% Recommend especially for students.. as I carried this in my backpack or bag and didnt have to worry about the disaster that happened to my previous external hard drive when I dropped it ONCE and lost everything in the middle of the quarter :(.

> 3 dayI travelled offshore by helicopter for the last 8 years. I have had portable external hard drives get dropped by the people inspecting out luggage on several occasions. Twice I arrived offshore for a long rotation with a hard drive full of games and movies that was now broken. Keep your old mechanical hard drive at home by your main PC or by the television. I bought 2 different SSD external drives a little 256gig drive and this 1TB drive... its fast, durable and gets bumped around a lot. I just slip it in the side pocket of my laptop case and go. Because it has no moving parts unless you smash it open or somehow fry the electronics your data should stay safe. I have about 100 movies and 20 games from my steam library on this drive and everything runs perfectly!
