13-06-2025I needed an extra SSD to keep my photos. This SSD works perfectly for this purpose, running MacOS.

> 3 dayGood R/W speed with USB 3! only thing is it was bigger than expected and the USB C port seems a little weak. But so far its doing fine, will have to see how it stands the test of time and use!

> 3 dayI know SP stands for Silicone Power, but it stands for Super Power for me. I feel my pics videos and etc are safe now.

Greater than one weekI am very displeased with this product! At first I was very pleased, felt durable, and according to the description it could go very fast, but nooooooo. Do not buy this product! Everytime I plugged it into my laptop it would slow it down so much I couldnt even use it for anything else! And OMG WAS IT SLOW! It was literally going at 8gb/s it was horrible! I do not recommend this product, buy something else that is worth your cash! It was so slow I had to return it and buy a Samsung ssd which was actually worth my money and worked quickly, just as advertised! Recommend the Samsung ssd any day, and its the second most cheap 1T SSD that actually works. I will later post some screenshots of how painstakingly slow this thing was going. Have a great day and I hope you save yourself some cash and go buy something else instead.

08-06-2025Had an earlier made one and it has been terrific and still not full - working great! Decided to get a second drive to keep one safe in a safe. Been very happy with the product - SSDs are the way to go - fast and much less likely to fail.

> 3 dayGreat little hard drive and fast too. Its very light and feels like there is nothing in it. I guess thats how the solid states are. I bought this because my old external hard drive failed and I lost all my photos I had on it (before the cloud) from 1999 to 2015. I am still devistated from the loss. I tried all kinds of recovery software, opened it, attached a new sata cable - and nothing. I feel better using a solid state drive but I am still going to back it all up to the cloud because they say if a SSD fails there is virtually nothing you can do to recover your files.

13-06-2025I was skeptical at first with how poor some of the other reviews were. some claimed it to be as slow as any other HDD and as a gamer looking for fast loading screens I wasnt too sure. However I can assure you after playing both CS:GO and BF2042 all day on this device I saw no real difference between those games loading from my built in SSD and this SSD. Do note I am running it with the USB C to USB C on a Gen 2 USB C 3.2 port. Im not sure if that has an advantage over a Gen 2 USB A 3.2 port, I havent tried it. As of today 8/29/22 the SSD works great for gaming. If I run into any issues in the future Ill be sure to update my review and if you never see this review change its still in great working condition.

> 3 dayRugged Portable External SSD looks good, but when I had about 300 GB the SDD started to work to write and read very slowly....in that case it is better to use a regular HHD.

Greater than one weekMy daughter bought this for me and I use it to back up my files. I used this to back up 458GB of data, when first plug in, it says will take 3 hours to back up, then became 6 hours, then became 1 day. Finally took 8.5 hours to finish the back up. I then used Seagate 2TB HDD drive, Same computer, same data, same day, same usb port, it took 4 hours to back up the exactly same data. So far the device works fine. It is a SSD, but slower than HDD. I am not sure why. It looks fine, lighter than my HDD, but slightly bigger. I can only give 2 stars at this time.
