> 3 dayDrive mounted as read-only. Could not open permissions or format to use on Mac Desktop, despite description saying it was possible. I was planning to use this as a photo-archive drive but lost trust immediately. Drive feels really cheap as well. It says its aluminum but felt really light and flimsy to me. Returned it to by a more brand-name drive.

Greater than one weekIve only had this 1 TB model for a week or so. I copied several folders ranging in size from 210 GB to 2 Gb to the SSD. Smaller copies were lightning fast as expected. Larger copies (200 Gb) started fast, first 5 GB in about 5 seconds showing estimated copy time of 10 minutes, but estimated copy time quickly climbed up to 2 hours as copy speed fell off to observed 0.01 GB/sec or slower. (Im working with a MacBook Pro, 2.9 GHz 6-core i9 processor, 32 GB ram, 2 TB SSD.) Final copy time for 200 GB was 1:40 hours. I repeated this test with similar results. Next I copied the same 200 GB folder to a 4 TB Seagate portable HDD - copy time was 21 minutes. (FWIW, the HDD copy required a USB-C to USB-A adapter, the SSD copy was direct connected using the 12 cable supplied with the SSD.) Im afraid this SSD will be returned.

> 3 daySteer clear of this bargain. After formatting it for my Mac, which failed the first attempt, I ran a Disk Sped Test. The read results are OK, but this disk wont consistently write even 10MB/s despite the claimed speeds of 50x that number! On repeated tests the drive gets progressively slower, down to under 2 MB/s. It is completely useless for any photo or video editing, or even a simple backup of my hard drive. I should have spent the extra $30 to get the 1TB drive from Samsung or SanDisk.

> 3 dayI would not recommend this SSD. It feels really cheap but I dont care so much about that if it works. Unfortunately, the write speed would vary wildly from around 400 Mb/s then slow down to 6 Mb/s when running a speed test on it. When actually writing files, it would start up quickly, then the data numbers seemed to freeze. It would eventually copy all of the data but the estimated time in Mac OS would start at 15 min for 80ish GB folder, then go up to over an hour. It actually took about an hour. It is just not consistent enough for me.

> 3 dayI am very displeased with this product! At first I was very pleased, felt durable, and according to the description it could go very fast, but nooooooo. Do not buy this product! Everytime I plugged it into my laptop it would slow it down so much I couldnt even use it for anything else! And OMG WAS IT SLOW! It was literally going at 8gb/s it was horrible! I do not recommend this product, buy something else that is worth your cash! It was so slow I had to return it and buy a Samsung ssd which was actually worth my money and worked quickly, just as advertised! Recommend the Samsung ssd any day, and its the second most cheap 1T SSD that actually works. I will later post some screenshots of how painstakingly slow this thing was going. Have a great day and I hope you save yourself some cash and go buy something else instead.

> 3 dayGood R/W speed with USB 3! only thing is it was bigger than expected and the USB C port seems a little weak. But so far its doing fine, will have to see how it stands the test of time and use!
