> 3 dayThis is really fast added the be quiet! BZ003 MC1 Pro M.2 SSD Cooler to it and stays around 41c but I dont game with it so my be just overkill but over double the speed of my Samsung 960 evo 500gb. for the price and pcie 4.0x4 from other benchmarks this seems to have a better i/o in testing . Only day 1 of the install so time will tell and update later

> 3 dayActually getting those advertised speeds on this drive is killer. The system is snappy and crisp! I dont know if its because the drive is paired with the 32gb sk hynix m die ram (wish I could have gotten a die 64gb kit) that its really responsive but, Im super pleased with this drive. Should have went with a 2tb instead of the 1tb is the only downside for me, definitely recommend.

> 3 dayThe P41 NVMe ssd is performing faster than MFG states. Running an Intel 12700k, Gigabyte Gaming X, 64GB ram. No issues so far. CrystalDiskMark image provided, first test, installed as a secondary drive. Also an FYI: other reviews removing a star for no M.2 screw provided. SSD mfgs dont provide the screw. Its the motherboard mfgs that provide it. Ive bought from Samsung, Kingston, Sabrent, Crucial and smaller name brands and none of them have provided me with the screw. Check your machine before ordering, its up to you to buy one if its not on the motherboard already.

> 3 daySimply put, If you want one of the fastest NVME PCIE 4 drives this is it. I installed it in a newer Z790 motherboard and have benchmarked it. It replaced a PCIE 3 Samsung 970 Pro NVME. This one is twice as fast. How that gets perceived in day to day computer use is up to the reviewer but I can say I do notice a slight difference. You can download migration software and drive management software free from SKHynix website. The migration software was straightforward and worked well. The management software is fine but lacks some of the features and polish of Samsungs Magician software. If you own a PC, no you dont really need a drive this fast unless you are a professional of some sort. Otherwise a regular SATA SSD will be cheaper and fast enough. I would recommend this if you want to take advantage of newer motherboards fast storage capabilities and just want to have the fastest drive available at this time.

Greater than one weekPurchased this to expand my PS5 storage, this brand specifically is entirely underrated while delivering top tier performance. Through my research I found this company likes to underrepresent their products a hair (their performance is BETTER than advertised), found that out directly when installing the drive, the read performance was higher than advertised and competes with Western Digital and Samsung, further research found this drive in most performance metrics is one of best performing drives period. Cost to performance is fantastic, couldnt be happier with this purchase and would purchase again or encourage anyone and everyone to purchase this drive over WD or Samsung (with an Elecgear heatsink for PS5 users)

> 3 dayIts hard to argue against Hynix, unless Samsung is having a crazy sale. Even then, you know enthusiast-grade Hynix products arent junk. But I wasnt expecting this to put my venerable 980 Pro to bed. On a lark, I bought two 2TB drives during Amazons Black Friday sale, and my only regret is not buying three. The read speed is neck and neck with the 980 Pro, but the write speed is nearly 2,000 MB/s faster. Thats jaw-dropping. You can see the results in the attached image. Thats on a secondary drive in an MSI Z690 Pro board with no heatsink at all. Not an enthusiast board. Not active cooling. Not even passive cooling (besides the Hynix sticker). Nothing crazy. And just over 7,100 read / 6,700 write is impressive at an enthusiast-grade price. Even a regular price. But at the bargain basement price these were going for? I almost feel like a thief!

> 3 dayI bought this drive after a Samsung 980 Pro went belly up, after barely a year of moderate use. Clue: look up that drive paired with a Google search of bad blocks. If only I knew... This drive rips and tears through anything I throw at it. It does get a little on the warm side, so I bought a heatsink for it. Still gets a little warm, but better than it going bare-backed. The screenshots were benching right after booting the PC up and the 45c temp was right after running the benchmark. The SK hynix Drive Manager software is decent. Allows for firmware updates and whatnot. Provides many details about the drive like Doorbell Buffer Config command support and temps. The temps have values, thresholds and worst but seems a little odd the way its laid out. Scales go from right to left, meh. First world problems I guess. Get the drive. You wont be disappointed. Hopefully it will last longer than a year.

08-06-2025Just built a watercooled MSI Carbon black MB EKWB not sure why the write speed and random read write is so much lower.
