I have installed several Meross switch products with HomeKit compatibility, and am overall happier with these switches than others that I have tried (mainly from Lutron and Leviton). Given the overall favorable reviews, I thought I would identify several issues that buyers should be aware of before moving forward. I like the Meross products, so I hope they expand and improve their product line. First, Meross provides the wrong size/thread screws for mounting their switches to US junction boxes. They should be 6-32 machine screws but they are not. OK, no big deal, so I used the screws that are already on my switches. Well, those have round (instead of flat) heads. They bulge out just enough that it is essentially impossible to get the snap-on switch plate attached. There are reviews on this or other Meross switches that complain of the same problem with the covers, but they dont identify that this is the problem. Second, the leads are permanently attached to the switch box. I would much prefer screw or push-in terminals. Every Meross switch has at least four leads, which increases the number of ends in a junction box. I am certainly not an expert on the National Electric Code, but I do know that there are limits of how many wires can be in a junction box with a given volume. Two-gang switch boxes become very, very crowded when replacing both switches with smart switches, especially when there are other wires traveling through the same box. Third, the switch housings are very bulky. This is true of other smart switches as well. I ran into a problem where a two-gang junction box has conduit coming in from the side. The switch is so wide that it hits the side conduit fitting and could not be inserted. My solution was to file down a small part of the plastic housing on the switch so that it could fit. (I did not file all the way through, which is how thick the plastic housing is. Of course this means that it is a durable housing.) Fourth, where we live, conduit and grounded junction boxes are required. The Meross switches should be grounded at the plastic tabs so that we dont have to bother with the ground wire. Unfortunately, they are not. Finally, if you want to adjust the minimum dimming level of a dimmer switch, or check for firmware updates, you MUST sign up for a Meross account, which I dont like. The Leviton switches that we have do not require this. Minimum dimming levels and firmware updates can be done through the Decora Smart Home app without needing to set up an account.

This is my 2nd set of 3 way switches from Meross. Had an electrician do the install because Im just too unfamiliar with the 3 way configuration. After he was done with the install, he was impressed with the switches so much, he ended up buying a set for his house. The Meross app is incredibly easy to use and navigate through. Highly recommend.

This is the second meross product Ive bought (first was the garage door opener which also works well). It was easy to install. If you can install a standard light switch then this is not too much different. The meross app found the switch with no problem and completed the setup. The app works inside the home and when Im away. I like the look of the product. Its simple compared with some of the smart switches out there. It comes with a single gang face plate. If you were installing it in a multi-gang box, youd need to order your own face plate. Have a look at some of the customer images for examples.

I paired two dimmer switches side by side in a double wall box and named each one. I also grouped them and gave the group a name. Now that Ive connected them with the Alexa app, I can speak to turn up or down the lights of either single switch, or by the group name it adjusts both lights at the same time. They are also easy to use manually and the 5 leds on each switch shows the level of the light from dim to bright. These are exactly what I wanted, they work perfectly. I mixed up the black and brown wire on the 2nd one I installed and it didnt work at all. Once I realized my mistake and corrected the problem, they work fine.

The dimmer is a little off in a sense that when you are dimming the lights at the switch, you may just pass that right dim spot- either its little brighter or to dim. To get the right dim, you can use the app to get a better response. Overall, there isnt much choices for smart dual pole dimmers within a reasonable price. This product works great and I have it set up in two locations with no issues or connectivity.

its my 2nd Meross smart house product, which supports Apple Homekits, the big differentiation from other brands in the market. the material of the switch is a decent, beautiful matte faceplate. The installation is straightforward with the instruction. Making a Connection to the Apple Home kits is easy, but adding the switch to the Meross apps is tricky. I have to use another device that runs the apps to add the device. After that, the switch works very well, the dimmer works well with LED bulbs, with no flicker. I really like this switch and plan to replace more switches in my house.

I usually do not write positive reviews, if I am satisfied with a product, as I am extremely short on time (guilty). This time its an exception. I am extremely pleased with the reliability and functionality of this WiFi dimmable light switch. Unlike similar competitors devices, many of which Ive already tested and returned, Ive bought and am using over a dozen of Meross WiFi Outlet switches in my house. This is my first (and I am sure, not the last) Meross WiFi light switch). None of my Meross devices ever loose the WiFi connection with my home router (including one switch on the garage opener in the far corner of the property). All devices always respond to the Meross (android) apps. commands; in addition, the (android) app gets multiple updates... In addition, I noticed how serious the company is about the product quality and the customer service: multiple firmware updates, and quick on replying whenever I e-mail them with questions. Cant wait for the release of the Meross 3-WAY SWITCH to install in my kitchen. Highly recommend.

The install was easy enough that once I showed my 13 year old son how to install the first one, he did the second with me looking over his work before power was restored. The only issue for me was that I read too quick and did not notice I needed to add the Meross skill to my Amazon Alexa and have her discover devices for it to be usable/detectable by Alexa. Love not needing to get out of bed to turn off our master bedroom lights. Now we have an Alexa Routine to help us wake up in the morning with the dim feature.

I needed a smart dimmer for a 3-way switch in my hallway. This unit fit the bill on two fronts, first being a Merross product as I had several others installed already and second being able to control the light using an Alexa Routine. Installation is pretty straightforward once you identify the wiring correctly and get get the main and secondary switches wired in. Not as many dimmer options using the switch, but from the app and Alexa you have the ability to be more granular with brightness levels for the fixture.

Update: I discovered a fix. To dim to more acceptable levels, use the app. Select the switch, then pull down the menu, upper right, 3 bars. Select compatibility test, press start testing, a graphic bar will appear, and brightness is set at 40%. Lower the brightness to 1%. Then exit. This should be your new default when you next lower the brightness level, either manually or when using Alexa. Not perfect, but much better than the default level of 40%. I am a fan of Meross switches, I have 2 that we have been testing and they have been very reliable. I cant say the same for the dimmers. The main issue is the range of dimming. We began having several installed but stopped after the problem became obvious with the single pole dimmer. It was installed in the master bedroom and has been a major disappointment. The range of the dimmer is pretty much useless, as it will not go below about 50% brightness. There is no firmware fix, or one planned. So we will reluctantly look for alternatives.
