> 3 dayThe only issue I had is my phone wouldnt scan the tiny qr code on the back- I looked at these reviews though and someone mentioned the name of the app you need (HBN Smart). It took me two minutes to set it up and provided hours of entertainment turning the lamp on my husbands side of the couch off and on. We cant wait to have friends over so I can mess with them too

> 3 dayI got these for all the small Christmas trees throughout the house. Was tired of plugging in or leaving on for days on end. Once you learn how to hook them up it’s easy. And I hooked up to Alexa for east off and on. Really nice.

Greater than one weekIt took me a couple of days to get the bugs worked out, but now that I’ve done that they’re working perfectly. By the way, they do allow you to program a light to turn on and off multiple times a day.

> 3 dayOne in the 2-pack worked and the other didn’t. I emailed the company BN-Link and they got back to me in less than an hour with the tracking number for the replacement. FYI, Amazon had the wrong contact information of try and get support. The correct website is bn-link.com.

> 3 dayGet the 4 pack. First one set up quick and easy. The other 3 for some reason decided to not want to work so well. After giving up the first night and trying again the 2nd day, they finally started showing up in the setup process. No problems since then.

08-06-2025the form factor is a little too bulky which makes it hard to fit two in one outlet. The 2.4 Ghz only connection was not easy to setup. Thats unfortunate since pretty much everything uses 5 Ghz now. I ended up just disabling the 5Ghz connection... set up the plugs ... and then reenabled the 5 Ghz connection.

> 3 daySo, it took me 3 hours over 2 days to get the first one set up. Accomplished that after watching the very helpful video. The written, included instructions are almost a waste of time. 3 hours of my time to be exact. But once set up (I had better luck with the SmartLife app than the HBN app intrigrating with Alexa), they function very nicely. I recommend them, just take a different path at installation.

> 3 dayGot it set up and working with my Alexa devices, but not as easy as the Amazon plugs. First you have to download the HBN app and create an account. Then you plug in the plug, find your network- you MUST have a 2.4 Ghz network if you only have 5 Ghz it wont work - enter the password for your network, then hit reset on the plug and search for it in the app. Once its found youre good to go. Now you have to go the Alexa app, enable the HBN skill, go to games and skills, find the hbn skill, click on it, and search for devices until it finds the plug. Mine found it on the second try. If you want to name the plug you must do so in the HBN app. So there you go, if it was an Amazon plug it would set itself up on your Alexa network immediately. Now that its setup it works just fine. If its worth it to save a few $$, and you are ok with the extra setup steps, its a good product.

> 3 dayI purchased these quite some time ago with the intent of utilizing them on lights in my boutique that I have to manually turn on and off. I wanted the Alexa integration to put them on a timer or a command. I tried on several attempts to connect these when first received and they would always time out and not work. It was so frustrating. The manual also doesnt give clear instructions on which plug you are to choose when utilizing the app. I moved to a new building and took another chance so these could work as intended. It took several tries (and curse words) but I FINALLY got them paired and they are now working on a schedule.
