Soldering Mat Silicone Insulation Work Mat Heat Resistant 932°F Work Bench For Repairing Computer Phone Electronics Watch Laptop Soldering Station Hot Air Gun

Im building my own mechanical keyboard and new to soldering, so I needed a mat for a safe work surface. This mat is a good size and the slots in the top work well for organizing smaller tools, screws, and other small pieces of hardware. Its not really anti-skid and some of the kitchen pads I have do a better job in that regard. However, Im lowering my review rating for the following reason: I bought a supposedly-new product and received a mat that has obviously been used and borderline damaged. It looks as though someone took their iron and held it on the surface of the mat to test its heat resistence. Ill be returning and exchanging, so well see if I actually get a new, or at the very least undamaged mat! Update 4/14/2022: 2 years later, and someone *claiming* to be from the selling company is emailing me privately and offering a $30 Amazon giftcard to delete this review. No offer to replace the damaged product (which I wasnt able to, IIRC) or reply publicly to this review with the offer. Honestly, the mat is holding up fine but I use it for a project maybe once every 3-4 months. No idea if this would be worth anything with more extensive use, though.

I was really tired of having screws roll off my other mat and decided to buy this one. Frustration levels have lowered therefore extending my life. It’s that good

The Silicone Insulated Workbench Soldering mat came well wrapped for shipping. Large size is great for most electronics soldering tasks. I have only one wish and that would be that the mat were a bit thicker so the parts trays were deeper. I’d give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ if they were deeper. SMDs are small little critters that are easily lost or mixed up with other parts. Other than that, the mat is perfect for small to medium electronics projects and has survived well over the past four years. I would definitely recommend this to any solder sniffing, electronics hobbiest or even companies. (Review Updated: 22 May 2022)

Nice and big, covers my work area. Soldering iron does not leave a mark. Can be a little troublesome to clean.

I bought this for crafting. Heat embossing, watercoloring, dyed inks etc much cheaper than the new white waffleflower mat that stains.

I ordered this after scorching a worktop with my heat gun, and this mat remedied that problem nicely, along with some others. The mat is a good practical size for electronics repairs, lies firmly on a smooth surface without sliding, and generally makes repairs far easier than they would be without it. The numbered compartments are a plus for the tiny screws and other parts when changing a cell phone case or replacing and iPad screen, making them easier to keep in order for reassembly, and the mat is easy to roll loosely to store alongside my soldering station and tools. A good purchase which has already proven very useful, and one Ill recommend to friends.
