Sony WH1000XM3 Noise Cancelling Headphones, Wireless Bluetooth Over the Ear Headset – Black (2018 Version)

In the short time Ive had these Ive come to associate them with a renewed ability to focus at work. That is easily worth the price. Im a nit-picker and theres just nothing to pick at. The sound quality and comfort are excellent. The noise cancellation is amazing. The battery life is never going to be something to worry about. After a couple of hours with them on youll hear the noise that is all around you freshly (with fresh annoyance).

I bought these immediately after the XM4 was released. I got them on a hefty sale and was so happy to finally get a pair at a good price. They cancel sound great, get plenty loud, and are comfortable for hours. Only thing I wish would improve is battery life to be honest. If you can catch these on sale for around $250, for sure get these. The upgrades offered by the XM4 just arent worth it in my opinion. These headphones are perfect for my casual every day use and I recommend to all!

Overall, I love this headset. You must update your Sony softwares. Otherwise, it will keep disconnecting and connecting by itself. It drove me crazy.

So Im an old school Sony user. In the last half decade I switched over to Beats. My last set of beats got messed up, not the products fault, but my kids ...you know how the story goes. So I was in the market for a new set and I decided to go for over the ear this time instead of in ear. After much research, ie. endless youtube videos, instead of going with Beats again I went with these Sony ones; the WH1000XM3. I kick my self that I ever left Sony, the grass isnt always greener. These head phones produce great sound for the price. There are songs Ive listened to for years and never heard the deeper fainter sounds in those tracks till now. Blow my mind, couldnt believe it. As for the noise cancellation, epic. My kids do tests behind my back to see how loud they can be before I hear it. Im talking banging table and chairs and yelling. I dont hear a thing. I actually have to let everyone in the house know when Im putting them on as you wont be able to hear anyone calling for you with these on ...or anyone sneaking up to hear either, theyve done that as well, they think theyre funny when they scare me half to hell.

Do yourself a favor and buy anything except these Sony headsets. They easily crack because of an incredibly bad design flaw that has caused me to go through 3 of these inside an 18month time frame. BOSE headsets are better built and much more reliable than these Sonys. My BOSE set lasted me 5+ years and is still being used by my wife, these Sonys will not 5 months without cracking. Great headphones with the exception of the bluetooth. I found the bluetooth connectivity to be pretty bad. With the phone in my pocket, it cuts and in out. At worst, I sometimes need to hold the phone up near the headphones (I have an newer iphone). If youre on a call, you cant walk far from your phone (maybe a few feet) before it starts to cut out. On other bluetooth devices, I can move much further away without issue.

Best noise cancelling money can buy right now. Suppresses shouting people to the point that I only hear mumbles, and I have sensitive hearing. Very tolerable, I can still focus on my studies with this noise.

Full disclosure, Im no professional just an amateur audiophile. But these impressed me with their performance, and over the last 6 months or so I have learned to consider them one of the best purchases I ever made. Im no authority on the technical aspect either, but the bluetooth has served me well without problems and the noise cancellation is fantastic, only reason I give that 4 stars is because it has some weird quirks with music in your environment sometimes. Last thing, if you have a friend who has never had nice headphones, play them a favorite song (that you think theyll like) with these. You wont regret it.
