> 3 dayThese are great headphones if your priority is noise reduction. The audio quality leaves a little to be desired compared with the Bang and Olufsen H9i, which I compared side by side. Sony is a little heavy on the bass and mid range is somewhat muddled. The H9i is more precise and defined with a normal bass. The construction of the H9i is more solid and less plasticky compared to the Sony. Some have reported that the Sony structure has cracked with use. but the Sony excels in its touch controls where the B+O is more finicky and less reliable.

> 3 dayLike many before me said, these headphones are amazing when it comes to the noise cancellation and sound. That being said, after using them for very long I am becoming really frustrated with their connectivity. I want to be able to easily connect to my windows 10 pc, but I can only do that with one PC and once in a while I need to unpair and re-pair them so they will connect again. I have a computer at work and a computer at home, so I have to do this about twice a day which is very annoying. Still, great sound

04-06-2025Bluetooth audio has come a long way since the olden days. With new codec technologies like aptx and ldac, audio transmission over Bluetooth is slowly reaching fidelity levels that are comparable to that of a wired connection. Thats of course taking into consideration the source and quality of amplification on wired setups. But considering the fact that the trade off in having no cables comes at a sacrifice in sound quality, these Sonys do make that sacrifice a very small and one that is worthwhile.

> 3 dayI had my eye on these forever and finally got them when the price dropped to $300. However it was little too late. While looking for cheaper alternatives I bought a pair of $150 Beyerdyamic 770 pros and he quality of sound changed my expectations of how headphones should sound. These don’t have a soundstage at all really in comparison and the vocals sound distant in comparison honestly. I guess wireless headphones try to compensate lack of hard data transfer with software and Sony does a pretty good job at this. The sound isn’t bad by any means but it just doesn’t have an accurate, balanced sound compared to any wired studio headset. If you’re commuting on public transportation often or spending time in noisy environments then you’ll love these but for my usage I didn’t need an “on the go” headset so I opted for the best sound quality for the money and ended up returning these.
