> 24 hourThis was one of the best values Ive found for SSDs in the 1TB range. Most others still run well over $100 for 1TB of storage (at the time of this review in Dec 2019). Silicon Power does provide free software for download to check and monitor the health (and check the SMART stats) of their SSD drives - SP Toolbox. I would recommend downloading the free utility from SPs website for occasionally checking and ensuring your drive is in good health. From a transfer rate perspective, this SSD works as advertised, and performs as well as a Crucial MX SSD 3D NAND that I also have installed in the same desktop system. SSDs are best for general purpose use - primarily as boot drives for OS and apps, especially on laptops. The OS will boot much, much faster from a SSD compared to a mechanical HDD, and the SSD will consume a lot less power than a mechanical HDD. Apps also launch in a fraction of the time on a SSD. The only drawback with a SSD is its overall shelf life - it has a limited number of writes, which not a huge factor if youre only using the drive for booting the OS and running apps. For media storage, backups, databases, and large files, mechanical HDDs are still the way to go, and theyre still a lot less expensive than a SSD. Over time, if you write or delete a lot of data from a SSD drive, performance will begin to deteriorate. Most however will not encounter much in the way of performance degradation, even after several years of drive use. Either way, SSD is best for read operations, and will vastly outperform a mechanical HDD for reading data, hence the much faster boot and app launch times. They are well worth it for the performance boost...time is money. Silicon Power seems to be making quality drives that work, but time will tell. If it fails or clunks out early, Ill be back here to modify my review. Otherwise, no complaints, 5 stars.

> 24 hourI have been using Silicon Power SSDs for about 6 years now. havent lost any data yet. Use these for games. I have about 10 of these and all are running strong with no problems. 256gb all the way up to 2 tb. the smaller 256 and 512 i use for windows system installs. the larger i use for program and game installs. not the fastest but fast enough, i have no complaints about load times. this is the brand i went with when i upgraded from mechanical to solid state. not sorry, so far.

> 24 hourIts an SSD. Not a particularly fast one because of its sata interface, but I needed it for modding an Xbox 360. Does speed really matter? Probably not, and the things been working fine, so 5 stars it is. One thing though, if youre modding a phat xbox 360, then youll need some sort of space to make it work in the hard drive enclosure.

> 24 hourSilicon Power is LITERALLY the ONLY brand I buy. Why? When I used to work at my last Computer Repair Shop, I would see LOTS of Hard Drives coming in for upgrade/cloning over to SSD. What I also saw was that there were a lot of these off-brand SSDs that customers would buy from who knows where, and sure enough, they typically failed at about an 80% fail rate of at least the first attempt of cloning/migrating over the OS from the HD to the SSD. What brand, didnt fail? The only brand I ever had not to fail on the first migration/cloning attempt was Silicon Power (SP). The cool thing about SP is that they have great deals usually, so the price is never a concern when Im shopping for another SSD. Also, they hook you with FREE software to take care of your cloning/data transfer needs. Just register the SSD drive on their website located on the back of the packaging. Enter the code they ask you for and boom! You get the download link. I would Highly Recommend Silicon Power. Hope this helps someone make up their mind that may be shopping for a new SSD drive, whether you are upgrading or just adding to your setup....Go With Silicon Power!

> 24 hourI got this basically non-stop since November 2022 and its been great. Ive had no trouble moving it around to various computers, and anything I have on it loads up nice and fast. I know technically this isnt as fast as some of the other drives out there but for last gen/pretty simple gaming and other applications I havent really noticed a difference. Highly recommended for storage for setting up a MiSTer or other similar FPGA or emulation box or other small project.

> 24 hourHave had this drive Since December 9th of 2022 (It is now April 2nd 2023) and so far it is still going ok. The storage is as advertised at the full 2TB, Which for the price was what sold me. Even with the neutral to negative reviews that I had seen. However, The average response time is worse that the 2TB Seagate HDD. Im seeing an average response time of over 500ms on average with occasional spikes to 900ms. The HDD averages around 3.2 to 12ms. The only reason that I have not really noticed the delay is im not running the highest graphics in games that require the fast response. Just simply needed more storage. Not a terrible SSD, but not responsive enough for fast random read/writes. Good for bulk storage. (Longevity is still in question).

> 24 hourSwapping out the old spinning hard drive for this thing has doubled the storage capacity and gave it a huge speed boost. I had been thinking of just replacing my laptop but I thought I would try this instead and I am glad i did. My laptop feels new again! It really made a very dramatic difference. Thank you Silicon Power!
