Best set of pencils I have bought so far. I tried many types. Love these. My lead has not broke once from sharpening on the softer pencils. There’s a slight shine still with the softer pencils but nothing compared to cheaper pencils I have bought. I love the long range of variety from hard to soft. The case that it comes in is weak at the hinges it popped off and bent. It’s tin. However the pencils are high quality and I’m very happy.

These pencils are outstanding. I have tried a ton of fancy pencils and have no expectations when using these since the last few brands have been a bit disappointing but these hold up great in the sharpener, they have yet to break when in use, the arent too bulky and not too light either , and they shade like butter .. definitely impressed, Im not a pro but Id still say its worth a try if you enjoy pencils like I do. Great set for decent price.

Although these are specifically made for drawing, my purchase intent is for a lead hardness verification kit. Staedtler is well know for compliance with industry standards and quality assurance. That said, for testing scrap lead as to hardness, this kit of known verified grading, allows me to use them to quickly check lead for ranging it hardness. good deal on a good product.

Best drawing pencils in the world, bar none! They resist breaking during sharpening, and you get the blackest blacks (instead of just shiny grey) when you need it. So many old & beloved art supply firms have gone under due to Asian competition. Im delighted to see Staedtler is still there making great stuff.

What a great collection of drawing pencils! 12 different hardnesses make this a versatile collection. It is used daily in the artwork. Very good quality and has a sturdy metal case.

Bought these for my artist Adult daughter in law. Superb quality. She said they are her favorite pencils for drawing portraits. Would definitely buy again.

I am a fine arts major and a range such as this was necessary and honestly a great price for the quantity and quality. Pencils come pre-sharpened. The tin lid is on a hinge so it’s always attached so it can take up a bit of space (I use it to hold other tools when I’m drawing. Overall quality is fantastic.
