> 3 dayGood design---just what I needed. Ordering was a bit of a guess because it wasnt obvious what size bar it would fit onto. It fit onto my 1/4 bar inside, but I didnt see how it could be used if I had needed to fit it onto a 5/16 bar. Length was just right although it wasnt clear in advance what the 3 length referred to: distance inside I had to reach, distance from inside of the key handle (which must remain outside the hole) to the end of the end of the socket, or distance overall.

> 3 dayEven if you dont need a gas valve key, you should buy this! In my case I happened to need it for my outdoor fire pit because the one I had was rusted and old. The 8-in length is great for valves that are recessed further back than normal (not actually sure why they do that). Probably someone sucked at measuring. I sleep with this key under my pillow and I feel very safe. This is so much more than just a gas valve fireplace key. Get yours today!

How to Use the Gas Valve Key?
With just a twist of your wrist you can turn on your gas fireplace with our gas valve key.
Simply insert the key into the escutcheon (which is the protective cover for your gas valve stem), then twist the key in order to open and close the valve. Remember to apply the rule "righty-tighty, lefty-loosey" - turning the key to the left will open the valve (turn on the gas). Afterward, you"ll simply turn the key to the right to close the valve (shut off the gas).
