22-04-2025It is a replacement because of change in new siding color. Only downside was older model slipped over 4x4 post, new one attaches to post with back side open but does not come with anything to cover back side.

> 3 dayPlant a 4x4 along the side of the road and bolt this thing to it. Once the post hole is dug it takes about 20 minutes to install.

Greater than one weekWhat a deal! Buy it. Easy install! Looks GREAT compared to the cheapos in neighborhood. Sturdy. Happy I made a great choice & got a good deal & didnt even have to leave the house! Big bulky heavy items are GREAT 2 buy online, lol. Yayyy me!

> 3 dayBought this after the township had hit my mailbox with a snowplow 3 times. Installed super easy and about 75% of the homes on my street have this same box. The magnets are strong and keep the door shut even durning 70 mph winds. I hope the color doesnt fade too quickly in the sun!

> 3 dayOverall, it is a good quality mailbox and should hold up well. My only issue is that the interior of the mailbox is smaller than my old Rubbermaid. The overall size is about the same, but they could have expanded the inside if they had not made the walls so unnecessarily thick,

> 3 dayReplaced old green color with this brown/bronze color which goes better with my home. My green one lasted 20 years!

> 3 dayThis is a great rural mailbox. The walnut color blends in well with the natural surroundings. After being set up (using the suggested 4X4 and concrete footing), the free-range cattle in my area didnt rub it down into the ditch (like my other mailboxes). The mail carrier uses the extra newspaper opening for additional packages. My only complaint is that the instructions provided did not always make clear which sides of the pole and mailbox were front or back.

> 3 dayI had one of these Step 2 mailboxes for years until the city snowplow took it out. I have replaced it with another one, because they hold up so well.

> 3 dayInstalled easily. I like the back & front access. One improvement Id like to see is the back-plate being larger and completely covering the wooden pole that holds the mailbox in place.

> 3 dayReceived in excellent condition and on time. Installation was very easy since we already had a 4 wood post from the previous mailbox. Just cut that down a little so 4 were showing above ground and screwed the Step 2 mailbox to it with the hardware provided. The magnetic door latch snaps shut securely and theres the nice feature of having a rear opening in case theres traffic on the street side or when snow banks partly block access. Stick-on numbers are provided but they are not reflective nor were there enough to put the house number on both sides - so not as convenient as it might be for people finding your address after dark.
