Strathmore 566-8 500 Series Hardbound Mixed Media Art Journal, 8.5x11 32 Sheets

I am using this as my art journal. I do mixed media so the heavy weight paper is great. The edges can still curl with the initial wet application ( like gesso) but do flatten after adding my paint, etc. I do not glue pages together; the pages are heavy enough that the mediums and paint do not affect the other side. I will never be able to close it flat because of the added bulk of paper, paint, modeling paste, etc, but I tie a ribbon around it and it adds to the artsy-ness of it. I will purchase another when this one is full.

Man kann fast alle Techniken verwenden - habe Aquarell, Fineliner, Kombi aus beidem, Bleistift, Buntstift und Acryl problemlos anwenden können. Zuviel Wasser geht allerdings nicht. Acryllasur und Nass-in-Nass bei Aquarell hat das Papier zu sehr aufgeweicht.

Its a beautiful sketchbook that is very fun to draw in with colored pencils as well as graphite and charcoal.

I got several of these journals at a ridiculously discounted price on Amazon - the bargain of the century. And I’m enjoying them because I got them for such a tiny price. If I’d paid regular price I’d have been disappointed, however.

Works great with acrylics, water colors, markers, colored pencils, etc.! The pages are thick and sturdy. Im in love with the large journal!

Great paper quality Nice sturdy hardbound. In my opinion best journal. Worth the price.

I guess cause this is bound to a back spine (like a book) it makes the paper bend - and when trying to draw that can get annoying.
