Works really nice with prisma color pencils

Ive been looking in stores but couldnt find what I wanted. This is perfect. 200 pages, sturdy, and thick pages make for a quality product. Well done.

Paper feels great. Nice texture. Used it for pencil, pen and colored pencil. Havent tried watercolor yet. Would probably need some kind of sheet between the painting and the rest of the book. Have often taken out one page and laminated it to do this. Will do this in the future. Good size for drawing. Lays flat well.

I take many online art classes, and one of the teachers suggested these journals. I have used them ever since. The pages take watercolor and mixed media. Sometimes I put so much mixed media on the pages the book doubles in size, but the binding holds up. This is important. The pages open enough, but they do not always lay flat. That might bother some people but I use clips and it works for me I hope they keep making this type of journal.

For Professional Artists who love working with all sorts of mediums:

The cold press “tooth” grain is on one side of the paper, and most of the paper was loaded and bound incorrectly so the grain is on the wrong side for most of the pages for my particular notebook. Kind of annoying, but it’s a good hardcover watercolor sketchbook.

All the 7th grade art classes were required to get this book and all of the local stores were sold out. I was able to order and get delivered in time for the start of school.

Strathmore 400 paper is the only NON Arches paper I use.
