> 24 hourIt’s a great light for hands free situations I.e. working on the car or walking the dogs. I only wish that you had a brighter light with increased coverage. Also I got one of the red bulb lights which is absolutely useless for anything that I would use it for.

> 24 hourThe streamlight clipmate is especially helpful to have around, if you need to light the area around you but have your hands full—it’s compact and easily attachable to baseball cap, pant pockets, etc. and has great lighting. When I first opened this light, I started to search for how to charge it. The instructions are in tiny typeface, while there was information present about charging the device , there was no specific information present about HOW to charge it—how to plug it in, in the first place. I was gradually able to sort it out for myself, but it would be helpful to have some sort of illustrations and more details. I was searching for a USB cable, but it’s not needed. If you take off the cover, you find a USB charge tab that’s already part of the light’s design that you can then plug into a USB source or AC wall adapter, but you have to figure out from which side to plug it in from first. It took about 2 hours to charge, and then the red light started blinking. Then I attached the light to the edge of my baseball cap and tried using it in my garage, it was very helpful as it did a good job of lighting the way, and has several lighting settings that you can adjust to make it more or less brighter. This compact light can be used for a variety of purposes, including reading in the dark. I’m giving it a four only because the charging was confusing. Overall, though, this is a great, compact, attachable light with adjustable light settings, that’s also versatile.

> 24 hourI use this everyday as a police officer and it works great. I was shocked at the battery life, it’s never died on me with pretty heavy usage. I charge it occasionally to make sure. It charges quickly too. It doesn’t replace a flashlight but gives enough light for paperwork, light searching, or up close needs. My only complaint is that I worry I’m going to break the USB portion. It hasn’t broken but feels like it wouldn’t be hard to do. Overall a great light.

> 24 hourMost under advertised light. We tested it with a local Police department. Attached to the outer vest, allows for hands free light for night traffic stops & interaction b.v with individuals.

> 24 hourThis little light is game changer at least for how I use it. I am a police officer and have been trying find a light for issuing citations at night. Well this Clipmate is the answer. It has a durable steel clip on the back and I slide it into my body armor chest panel. So in the event of issuing a citation at night, needing a smaller light, or even just needing a backup flashlight; I’m set. 1st click is dim setting, 2nd is bright, 3rd turns the light off. If you hold the power button it turns the white light to a red low-light color then reverting back the same way. The light is charged by USB port. So any of your cellphone’s “wall charger boxes” or your vehicle’s USB ports will charge it up. Brightness of light decreases as battery life decreases. Peak high brightness I would say is about 120 lumens. Low brightness is like 70 lumens. Battery life is about 14 hours of use per full charge.

> 24 hourIm a fuel hauler and I deliver to poorly lit stations at night, very often after they are closed and the lights are off. This light is PERFECT for me. I clip the light on the side of my hat, not on the brim as the picture shows. This way the weight of the light doesnt pull my hat forward on my head, and I can adjust the bendy head to point the beam exactly where I look. I work 12 hour nights, and I do 4 to 5 drops a night that may take 45 min each. I bought two of these lights. I keep one stuck into the USB port in the radio if my truck. Its up high and out of the way so I dont bend the USB charger that sticks out of the light. I havent damaged either one of mine yet and had them almost a year. Once I can see that the light Im using is starting to dim, I just switch out for the other one. But most nights I can get all the way thru with just one light. Great product! I wish they would make one with a battery you can change out once it fails. Seems like a waste to have to toss a perfectly good light because the battery has reached its 300 charging cycles. Once I buy my 3rd one I might do surgery on the one thats failed to see if I can install a new battery somehow. These are great lights but if you use them often they dont last forever. At least they hold up for a while tho. With so much Chinese junk out there it is refreshing to find a product that works.

> 24 hourI work evening shift in a van without a red duty light and this has really saved my eyes when writing reports. I keep it hooked on my sunglass loop but I love that it can clip onto a cap as well. It holds a charge for about a week with regular use. I also use it as a secondary work light in close spaces. It doesnt replace my regular duty light, but it sure does a great job as a backup! Also, people think it is a bodycam so they watch their manners. Cant say I mind that either!
