Greater than one weekAwesome light. Side lantern type light as well as a focused forward light. Good clip. Perfect for reading panel boards in the dark, camping, auto repairs, or the like. No regrets buying this one. Well made!

> 3 dayThe. Best. Flashlight. Ever. Made. Ive always been fascinated with flashlights. Some may say obsessed, but I say perfection is always a noble quest. Ive tried all sorts of flashlights and this one really has the most utility for the money. There are no modes. Just on and off. No mad button pushing or fumbling around trying to stop the SOS flash so you can see. In the rain. While changing a tire. I digress. This bad boy has two modes. On and off. On is powerful and bright. Off is not. No in-betweens. No ons then offs then ons then offs. Just ons and offs. It takes AA batteries. Which are easy to find. No special charger needed. No fancy-schmancy battery that costs more than the light. It is bright, flourescent yellow. It is hard to lose, even in a camper. Its got a lanyard loop for a lanyard if its your first sleep away camp, too. You could put badges on the lanyard with the flashlight. Wait. It isnt a lanyard loop at all, its a big, sturdy, alligator clip with teeth like this that hold it in your pocket like a champ. A frikkin champion, man. Just rechecked and its got BOTH the lanyard loop for sleepaway camp badges and the integrated, spring-loaded clip. Awesome. Did I mention real, actual water resistance? No rice required, pal. Also, it is rugged and sturdy which means it is ok if you drop it a few times like a careless person. And oh yeah, it has two LEDs. Each with its own on and off switch, to minimize confusion as mentioned earlier. Why two? One is aimed forward, like a normal tube flashlight. The other points down. At your feet. So you dont trip, or blind other people like an inconsiderate people blinding, idiot-moron who has never before been in the dark. You may occasionally blind yourself, however, as you grow used to this small, useful innovation. So, quick recap-Strong lights, simple controls, common battery, water proof and an innovative design. Buy two because someone will steal the first one.

> 3 dayBatteries seem to last long (just recently bought it so I am not sure about that question). I havent had it near water so I cant answer the water resistance query above. Suffice to say, I bought two of these and love them. Might get a 3rd so I dont have to search for a flashlight when I go down cellar!

> 3 dayIve only had this light for a short time, but so far so good. Its lightweight and plenty bright enough for almost any task. It throws a long spot beam with ample flood around it and I love the secondary flood beam. Ive had a couple of other Streamlight products for several years that continue to hold up well. I see no reason to expect this one will be any different.

> 3 dayI really like this flashlight. The belt clip is convenient for varying the light and it clips onto the pen slot in my coveralls which makes for a handy lantern when I need to be hands free.

Greater than one weekReally nice unit. Like having a side light opposite the clip without the need for a right angle.

> 3 dayPurchased this flashlight to keep in my truck tool kit for emergencies. I quickly found myself stealing it from the truck to use around the house. Its just phenomenal. Having the option of forward facing and downward facing light beams is so convenient, youll wonder why all flashlights dont have it. Battery life has proven to be excellent. Durability is top notch... Ive dropped it about 8 feet from ladders, dunked it in a bucket of water, and kicked it through the mud (all unintentional). The thing still works. The clip is super nice to keep it secured in a pocket or tool belt. Ill be purchasing several more to scatter throughout the house and put in the other vehicles. The flashlight isnt small, so dont think this is going to replace your EDC light. But its replaced every other flashlight I have.

Greater than one weekI’m picky when it comes to flashlights, I always want high lumen with high candela, and I want all this with high run times. Well let me tell you the Streamlight Dualie covers all those, 140 lumens, with over 7000 candela “candela” is the intensity of a beam I.E. can cut through smoke, holds brightness at a farther distance, you also get a 19 hr run time with 3 common AA batteries. 9 hrs with both spot and flood mode on. I suggest running this light with lithium batteries, better run time and will not corrode or loose juice if the light stays in the car for emergencies. I know this review is a ramble so let me say this. This is the best survival, emergency and general purpose light in the market. The price is excellent the toughness is proven and it is bright. Buy several of these and it will save you one day. Streamlight this is the best light y’all have done, keep it as is and it will sell forever!

> 3 dayOne of the most clever designs for a flashlight Ive ever come across. Ive been using Streamlight flashlights for decades, having used the Litebox and Survivor for many years in the fire service. They stand the test of time, Ive still got several of them that I purchased over 20 years ago. The Dualie is the only general purpose flashlight youll ever need, but youll probably want to own more than one! Theyre great for home, garage, in the car, in the office, etc. Light output is very good, its around 3000K so not warm but not harsh daylight either...more of a neutral bright white. The spot beam throws pretty far for a 3AA light this small and lightweight, and the flood beam is very good for lighting up a few feet away, but tails off after that. Again, for a 3AA light, its impressive. The clip combined with the flood beam is perfect for hands-free operation. So far battery life seems pretty decent, and the nice thing about it using standard alkaline or lithium cells is that when the power goes out or you dont have access to power for recharging, you simply use cheap AA cells and no worries.
