When I first played with one of these streamlights, I was hooked and needed my own. It has quickly become my EDC, and I don’t feel any different than normal carrying it. Its constant on and momentary brightness are incredible. Be careful though, when the bezel says it will get hot it means it.

This is an exceptionally well-designed flashlight. The switch is simple and intuitive. The body is easy to hold, while still being able to use your hands (like a cigar or large penlight). The clip is fantastic, if a bit strong (I find I cant easily clip to my shirt, like I sometimes like to do for hands-free use, but it easily clips to the belt or outside of my pocket). The light has a decent size, without monopolizing the pocket. USB charging is ideal for an edc light (easy to top-off). 300 lumens was a good choice for this light... quite bright, but without getting too hot. The beam is definitely on the floody side, good for work and going for a stroll. I do find myself wishing there was a lower mode, in the 10-30 lumen range. But I cant really complain, because Streamlight delivers on the simple practicality of the design. In terms of price, I was happy with the $80 I paid, but I can see why some people object to it being over $100. The build quality is decent... it feels lightweight, but solid, with the feel being of powder-coated aluminum, or very high quality plastic. Someone mentioned the molding not lining-up... cant say that bothers me, or that Id even notice without looking for it. Inability to replace the battery reduces value, but its excusable given how well this is designed and executed. Time will tell, regarding reliability (I will update, if there are any failures). Based on my limited experience, Streamlight products are reliable. I would NOT say the same of Olight... my last several Olights have failed on me, and I know Im not the only one. The design and implementation on this light are excellent... Im picky about what I put in my pockets, but Streamlight really nailed it with this one.

Light works great, charge holds a long time, only thing I would thing makes it better would be being able to turn the high setting on and not have to hold the button.

Ive bought 3 so far. 1 got stolen, other one lost, number 3 is here to stay (hopefully). As a mechanic, I remember a guy Id worked with had one, then a while later Matco truck came by, listing it for about $200?! Of course it had the Matco logo added on, but you could probably buy 2 on here, take it to a laser shop, and have them add the logo, and still save money... Anyways, I digress, I love this thing, streamlight has always been OP, itll usually last a work week depending on what im doing - obviously it being hand held its mostly inspection or quick jobs being held in my mouth (this thing is a joy to suck on btw, all techs do this so no need to be shy - it being so slim makes me feel much less sus than the meaty cylindrical rechargeable Streamlight, I save that type of girth for the weekends only). Only thing to keep in mind, it being meant more for pockets than shirts - scratching cars. Havent done it, but youve gotta remember its there because very easy to do.

I’m a cable technician and this pocket light has saved my BUTTCHEEKS from a few different scenarios. It’ll light up an entire crawl space or attic, burn holes in shirts and burn people, don’t ask how I know. It’s 10/10.

This is a great light. It carries well. It holds a charge for a very, very long time. It recharges. It has two brightness levels, its medium is always on, but the on lever allows a boost that can, while held forward, strongly intensify the light. It also seems pretty durable given how often Ive dropped the thing. It keeps on providing light. Would and have recommended to friends.

It’s maybe a little silly how excited I am about my new flashlight, but there’s something so pleasingly… sleek yet serious? about it that I can’t help myself. It works as reliably as any other streamlight I’ve owned and has a good, strong beam and good battery life, but there are some small differences that really make this a stand out for me, particularly the shape and the on/off/intensity dial. I LOVE the on/off mechanism. The button on the end of the round ones was fine, though it always eventually wore out, but this is so convenient and natural to use, and it won’t wear out and need replaced. It’s in the perfect position to let my thumb rest there if I’m loosely holding it at my side or have my hand on it in my pocket, and I don’t have to change my grip to turn it on to either the regular setting or the temporary high output one. Easy to hold, easy to use, just all around great. So great, in fact, that it’s made me feel safer going for walks at night. I actually got it because one of my favorite things on my nightly walks is looking for the neighborhood skunks, and while they seem to be either stupid or confident enough not to care about me shining light to see them better, my phone was never bright enough. This is the perfect skunk light—and you can quote me on that—but the convenience of the dial is such that if anyone tried to cause me trouble, I could have 1000 lumens shining in their eyes before they realized I was holding anything. I also just casually push the dial when a car is coming so it makes a nice bright spot on the road and catches their attention if they haven’t seen me yet. I’ve had the usual round streamlight flash/penlights before without issue, but I find this shape more elegant and visually appealing, and the novelty of it makes it feel a little special. It seems like they advertise it as being better for carrying in your pocket, which may well be true, but the pockets I’m carrying it in are neither fancy nor tight enough for it to make a significant difference, though I do think it feels a little more secure. I really do just find this shape so attractive; it’s like in ye olde days, when new iPhone models actually felt different and exciting, and everyone wanted the new one right away. Anyway, this flashlight is great because it’s a great flashlight, and also because it makes me happy and fills the hole in my heart with light ~♡~
