May not be the brightest light but it’s very convenient. Very well built and probably the best flashlight I’ve ever owned

So… I hardly ever do reviews but I love this little flashlight. It’s super slim and easy to carry. I’m in the aviation industry so a bright portable light is a must for me (preflighting aircraft, looking in small dark spaces, etc). But the main reason I’m writing this review is because it helped bring my little girl into this world. My wife and I were on the way to the hospital this morning. Well she couldn’t “hold it” so I ended up delivering my daughter on the side of the road in the dark. I was on the phone with 911 and could barely see as they were asking me to look at this and look at that. I suddenly remembered I had my flashlight in my pocket so it was a life saver lol! BLUF: If you’re looking for a small, powerful, and versatile flashlight? This is definitely it!

Slim, but a little too long to fit comfortably in most of my front/chest pockets. I think a version that was 1-2” shorter would be perfect. Also not great for tactical purposes due to the switch placement, but I am fine with that

I bought this cuz I wanted a light that lays flat clipped into my pocket. It does that. Wish it was just a little shorter though. It’s bright but the light is a flood style vs. a more directed/pinpointed beam. Not a big fan but it does the job generally speaking. The switch is alitte weird but again it does what it’s suppose to. Sooo “generally” speaking it’s a decent piece of kit for edc, but the Surefire version might be better. Not sure haven’t tired it.

Let me start off by saying this is my second Streamlight, I love these little lights, the only problem I have was on my first one these little screw in the picture came out I thought I was rough on the light to have caused it, they were a pain in the butt to get replacements but the new one that came the screw came off instantly, theres got to be a quality control issue on there end... I took them all off and put little bit of Loctite will be good to go hopefully they correct this.

Heavy duty construction with quality materials. Slim profile and a streamline design. Long lasting charge. Great all purpose light!

I lean toward Streamlights products, as they tend to have very high quality lights, made properly for their intended use and are (comparatively) reasonably priced. In my experience a cheap light will always disappoint, especially when its cold, dark and scary. Ive never had a Streamlight fail (outright) and theyve made a lot of design progress since the old SL-20 days. (BTW, I still have two of those, they still work and Streamlight still stands behind the warranty of these 30+ year old lights switches!) So I pried open my wallet and once the moths and dust cleared away, I dropped $86 on the Wedge. It is, without a shadow of a doubt, the best EDC light I have ever owned. It is feature rich while still being simple...and thankfully is devoid of that ridiculous strobe function found on so many (cheap and expensive) lights. You can place the clasp on either side, slide this ergonomically shaped light into your pocket and forget about it, until you need it. It is far more comfortable than the standard cylindrical lights and is the perfect partner for an EDC pocket knife. I attached a pic with the Wedge next to a pen for size reference - its longer than my other EDC lights but the shape just fits much more comfortably into my pocket, so I would suggest you dont worry about the length of the light ruining your ability to sit, drive or run with the Wedge in your pocket. Toughest decision is color, thats it. I highly recommend this light for EDC or backup light carry (professionals and emergency service personnel). Heck, buy two - because we all know that with lights, one is none and two is one.

I am a flashlight addict. I am also a loyal Streamlight customer with at least two-dozen of their flashlights in varying designs including the 3,500 Lumen bad boy. You definitely get what you pay for with this Streamlight.
