First, let me say that I havent used this in the field yet. Ive used it to spot around the yard when the dogs are barking and it provides great light. I purchased it for my SAR kit and it fits nicely onto the front strap of my pack. My only concern is if the low level light is low enough for tracking... well see. I did a lot of searching before coming up with this one.

Had my first house fire and was very impressed with this light. It is easy to use with leather gloves because of the large on/off button located on the top of the light, making it easy to use if you have it attached to your bunker gear. I also like the ability to decrease the strength of the beam which was more effective in heavy smoke. By far the best light I have ever used, and I have been in fire service for 29 years. Highly recommend.

This is a sturdy, bright light. The clip is strong and holds the light well when clipped to your pocket. Got one for myself over a year ago and my husband liked it so got one for him also. We use them outside on the ranch and they take the abuse of being dropped and banged around well.

Ok ! So Ive bought all kinds of lights over the years. Mostly for camping and hunting and always looking for the brightest , easiest to use , led these days. I still like my portable, rechargeable spotlight --- this little light out shines the spotlights. Im using the 4 AA batteries Duracell. I can see why firefighters use these lights ! Supposed to be limited lifetime---I didnt even fill-out the warranty-- if this light fails -Ill buy another. This is built like a tank--Im thinking its going to be with me for awhile( years ). I do like the 4 settings --- esp the strobe...Im 72 years old -- I like the idea that if I need some assistance in the woods that strobe just might help ! The moonlight setting is good for days and will be useful for my camping needs. Nice to see a great product come along - when you least expect it !
