> 3 dayThere’s some kind of metal prongs blocking the ground port, so nothing can actually be plugged in. Glad I got a manufacturing defect that prevented use, rather than an invisible one that started a fire.

Greater than one weekI got these to turn on a light in my bedroom at a certain time because I work overnights and my room is dark (I use blackout curtains) when I need to wake up. It definitely helps!! I already had the app because I have the automatic curtain open/closers from the same brand. I already knew how to set it up bc of that but the app is super user friendly for anyone using it for the first time!

> 3 dayThe plug itself is the same you can buy from other manufacturers. Energy Monitor is a cool feature albeit not comprehensive. It has immediate current and wattage and daily consumption. However, there is no way to see how much power has been drawn during the day.

Greater than one weekI couldnt setup an account. I tried 3 different emails, checked spam folders, sent the direct email that the app suggests etc. I sent an email to cust service. The next day i received an email back with a temp password. Setup wasnt too much work although the app seems outdated and clunky. I decided to try the plug out on some things that I had a good idea of how much energy they used. From my experience the usage recorded by the plug wasnt even showing half the energy that was being used. Since this was the main selling point for me and its not accurate, Ill be returning.

> 3 dayIncredibly inaccurate. I have a computer with an i7-4790k CPU and a GTX 1070 GPU, a combination which should be pulling well over 300 Watts from the wall when both are at full load. I ran a stress test to max out the power draw from my computer and this smart plug claimed my entire computer was running off 50 Watts. At idle it claimed my desktop computer uses 10 Watts. Anybody who knows gaming computers knows how ridiculous these numbers sound. Additionally I have a lamp with a 23 Watt bulb in it, the SwitchBot claimed this lamp was pulling 6.5 Watts from the wall. Update: I returned the SwitchBot and bought a Poniie PN1500 for nearly the same price. The PN1500 measured just over 300 Watts when stress testing my CPU/GPU at max load, and measured 24 Watts from the wall to run my 23 Watt light bulb. Much happier with my PN1500, with the caveat that my use case was exclusively to measure power consumption and I didnt care about the smart plug feature.

> 3 dayAs always, with Switch-Bot devices, the setup was very easy. I am now able to control most any kind of device and monitor the energy (amps & watts) used by that device at the moment and over time. I was also able to use the Switch-Bot API to integrate this Mini Plug into my home automation system so it can turn things on when other conditions are met an I can collect the usage data to chart usage over time. This device is more affordable than many of the other remote control devices used in my system.

Greater than one weekWe went on vacation hoping this device would allow lights to come on at certain times. It never worked as the devices were no longer on the same wifi network as my phone. Waste of money.

Greater than one weekThis plug is completely unreliable. Some days it works, other days it does not. Buy from a different company. I’m totally disappointed. I bought 3 of these and they are all inconsistent. Trash product, waste of money.
