I waited 6 months to confirm that the screen continued to work properly after my self repair, and indeed it is. The repair is a little tricky in terms of removing the broken screen and then replacing the new one and tucking the connecting electronics back into the case of the iPad, but with some patience and a delicate touch, it can be successfully accomplished. You will need a small bit of strong double stick tape to adhere your touch ID home button back in place properly, but I had some on hand so it wasnt an issue. I am very happy with this purchase and its still working. Mission accomplished.

Went right on without any trouble. The adhesion was poor in the beginning, but I left it under a stack of books for the night and its been holding great ever since. Thanks!!!

As is typical for replacement screens, this screen had two protective films, one over the outer surface and one over the inner surface. The film on the outer surface had a handy tab to catch it and pull it off. The film on the inner surface was missing this pull tab. I could not find the edges to remove it. Additionally, the cables were taped on to the digitizer, and when I removed the tape it pulled a large section loose from the inner surface of the digitizer. While this loose part did not allow for removal of the film, It did create a large bubble under the digitizer that looks really bad. I was able to squeeze out about half of it, which still did not create an opening to remove the film. The other half of the air remains in the bubble and created a permeate visual defect on the screen. Everything works, it just looks really bad!

This screen shattered almost instantly, even with extreme caution. The adhesive is absolutely awful and the connectors were way too long and bubbles out the screen. Ridiculous.

Worked perfect for Model A1822. Easy to install and tools were super helpful. Will buy again for sure!

I just completed this install a few days ago. Here is my feedback on the things that matter. First, the kit card well-packaged and the included tool kit was nice to have. Second, be sure to clean the surfaces around where the camera centering plastic part will bind and where the home button bracket binds. Those parts must be transferred over from the original display. Third, there’s a plastic film on the inside of the glass. Be sure to remove it. Fourth, the adhesive strips that are installed work perfectly when stuck to a properly clean surface. Fifth, the resolution of the touch sensitivity on the front appears to be every bit as good as the original glass panel. I will definitely recommend using this part.
